The Holy Father has called for a global recitation of the holy rosary for peace in the world.

Join Pope Leo XIV in Praying the Rosary for Peace 🙏

In a world longing for hope and healing, Pope Leo XIV is inviting Catholics around the world to unite in prayer through the Rosary for Peace.

Join us tomorrow at 10 AM Pacific as the Holy Father leads the Rosary from the Lourdes Grotto in the Vatican Gardens. If you're unable to pray at that time, we invite you to set aside a few moments at any point during the day to pray the Rosary and unite your intentions with Catholics around the world.

Together, let us entrust our families, our communities, and our world to the loving intercession of Our Blessed Mother and pray for the gift of Christ's peace.

WHAT: Knights of Columbus Sacred Heart Icon Holy Hour
WHEN: 6:30pm Wednesday 4/29/26
WHERE: St. John Fisher Catholic Church, 1525 S Alafaya Trl #106, Orlando FL 32828
WHY: Spread devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and pray for Our Lord to make his heart our own, so that we may see and love in others what he sees and loves in us.

Through the Pilgrim Icon Program, councils organize a Sacred Heart Holy Hour featuring an icon depicting the most famous image of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, painted in 1767 by Pompeo Batoni and now venerated in the Church of the Gesù in Rome. The reproduction bears the blessing of Pope Francis, through the Papal Almoner, and is one of more than 300 icons traveling across the world, from council to council, for veneration and use in prayer services.

Households are also invited to conduct a novena, enthronement ceremony, and consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, which can be done with an image (not the icon itself) of the Sacred Heart apart from the Holy Hour.

For those who have an opinion on the matter, the fundraising game for “Father’s Beard” currently (as of 10:30 am on 4/24) stands in favor of him keeping the beard, but only $82 higher than of him shaving. Again, this closes out on Pentecost Sunday, 5/24/2026.
