Please make plans to join the Church of the Brethren Annual Conference BLOOD DRIVE on Monday, June 29 (10am-4pm) and Tuesday June 30 (8am-2pm).

PUT YOUR FAITH IN ACTION TO SAVE LIVES!
Every two seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood. It is essential for surgeries, cancer treatment, chronic illnesses, and traumatic injuries. Whether a patient receives whole blood, red cells, platelets or plasma, this lifesaving care starts with one person making a generous donation.

Sign up ONLINE to reserve the slot that works best for you at www.brethren.org/ac2026blooddrive.

Registration will also be available at the conference in the AC registration area.

Volunteers are needed to help during the blood drive - you can put your faith into action this way too! Contact [email protected].

Without collaborations and partnerships, we would not be able to serve disaster survivors and their communities. Thank you Henderson County & Thermal Belt Habitat for Humanity for being a work partner and Trinity Presbyterian Church of Hendersonville for providing a place for our volunteers and leaders to have a pajama party every evening! Together, may we continue to "Serve the Lord with gladness!" Psalm 100:2a

Service can be fun too! Say hi to the volunteers from Brethren Disaster Ministries who, in collaboration with our local Henderson County & Thermal Belt Habitat for Humanity are visiting from all over the country to help rebuild our area after the devastation from Hurricane Helene (and they get to have a pajama party in our church basement every night too!)

Disasters happen and the world comes out to help right away, but a year and a half later, people are still living out of campers, in hotels, in unsafe homes, tents, with relatives, etc. So thank you to all the volunteer builders who are in it for the long haul!

Yay Habitat for Humanity!

Yesterday was the one-year anniversary of the flooding event in Allegany Co, MD. We are supporting the Western Maryland Long Term Recovery Group with 2 grants, one of which is the Verizon Grant we received through National Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (National VOAD). We have also supported this recovery by providing a team of volunteers who worked on 4 homes the week of April 27-May 1 and hope to continue to support with other volunteer teams.
