Westminster United Methodist Church Reconciling Community

Westminster United Methodist Church Reconciling Community We celebrate our diversity and recognize the sacred worth and dignity of all. At the same time, we recognize that there remain differences of opinion among us.

We affirm all people regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, race, age, ethnicity, physical or mental capacity, education, or economic or marital status. Westminster United Methodist Church’s Reconciling Ministries Community envisions our congregation as a place where all are welcome into the life and ministry of our church. We believe that we are reconciled to God and encouraged to be

reconciled to one another. All this is from God, who reconciled us to God through Christ, and who gives us the ministry of reconciliation. ~ II Corinthians 5:18

We celebrate our diversity and recognize the sacred worth and dignity of all. We do not seek to erase our differences. We welcome all in our journey together in faith toward greater understanding and mutual respect.

Westminster United Methodist Church is now a Reconciling Congregation affiliated with the Reconciling Ministries Network. Therefore we have adopted RMN's foundational Statement:

“We celebrate God’s gift of diversity and value the wholeness made possible in community equally shared and shepherded by all. We welcome and affirm people of every gender identity, gender expression, and sexual orientation, who are also of every age, race, ethnicity, physical and mental ability, level of education, and family structure, and of every economic, immigration, marital, and social status, and so much more. We acknowledge that we live in a world of profound social, economic, and political inequities. As followers of Jesus, we commit ourselves to the pursuit of justice and pledge to journey in solidarity with all who are marginalized and oppressed.”

God is Good!
