This week, Trinity is hosting Godly Play in Clinical Settings, a specialized training that brings together 16 chaplains and clinical practitioners to explore how the practices of Godly Play can support spiritual care in healthcare environments.

Today marks the second and final day of the training. Led by trainers from the Godly Play Foundation, participants have spent the past two days experiencing Godly Play firsthand and learning how storytelling, wonder, and relational presence can be adapted for use in hospitals, hospice settings, and other clinical contexts.

Offered in partnership with the Association of Professional Chaplains, the training explores new ways to accompany patients and families through illness, uncertainty, grief, and life’s deepest questions.

We are grateful to welcome these practitioners to New Orleans and to host this important work at Trinity.

The 3rd ‘Meals for My Neighbor’ Gala benefiting Trinity Loaves and Fishes was one great party!

Hosted at the home of Joanie and Jim Huger, attendees celebrated the great work of TLF, feeding over 65,000 meals annually, bringing together volunteers, donors, stakeholders and parishioners. Honors include Volunteer of the Year, Meredith Eldridge, and Lifetime Achievement Awards for Ellinor Howard and Russ Schmehl.

We are so grateful to Gala co-chairs Mark Leggett and Kelly Williams, and to all the people who lean in to feed the hungry in our city. Your support makes it all happen.

Through your support on GiveNOLA Day (and all year!) faith is formed and deepened across generations.

Your gift forms children who know they are loved by God and adults who are still growing into that truth. It creates space for honest conversation, deep listening, and spiritual curiosity, and equips people to carry their faith into daily life with courage and compassion.
