Do you have a prayer intention close to your heart? The National Shrine of Blessed Francis Xavier Seelos invites you to send us your prayer requests. seelos.org/submit-a-prayer-petition

Your intentions will be placed near the remains of Blessed Seelos, where they will be prayed over continually for 30 days by the Shrine community.

You may also request a candle to be lit for your intention. Pilgrims to the Shrine light candles in prayer for healing, thanksgiving, remembrance of loved ones, special intentions, and many other needs.

If you are unable to visit New Orleans in person, a Shrine representative will light a candle on your behalf and keep your intentions in prayer.

Fr. Steve Benden, C.Ss.R. will share the story of the Redemptorists—their history, mission, and ongoing ministry of bringing hope and the Good News to all.

Fr. Andy Thompson, C.Ss.R., will reprise his popular presentation on Our Lady of Perpetual Help, exploring the history of the miraculous icon, the devotion it inspires, and its significance to the Redemptorist family.

St Marys Assumption Church of St Alphonsus Parish New Orleans was built in 1858. It was home to Blessed Francis Xavier Seelos from1866-1867. His remains are enshrined here.

Louisiana is home to sacred spaces that can stop you in your tracks, and this quiet church is one of the most breathtaking.
