Brookmeade is excited to share a booth with the Circle Community Church at this year's Pride Festival on Saturday, June 27th! We will be handing out fun giveaways and spreading the word about Open and Affirming UCC churches in Nashville. This is a fun way to engage with our local community, and you'll receive free entry to the festival! This year’s Pride Ecumenical service will be held on Wednesday, June 3rd @ 6:30pm at West End United Methodist Church (2200 West End Ave, Nashville, TN 37203). Our theme is "You Deserve Joy!" WEUMC has a beautiful space for worship and fellowship, and plenty of parking! We are also excited to welcome Rev. RJ Robles to the pulpit for this service. Rev. Robles (they/he) is a q***r and trans Afro-Puerto Rican Disciples of Christ minister, devoted to co-creating healing practices and rituals for trans people. They seek to continue the strong legacy of trans people of color organizing and mobilizing mutual aid and collective care that supports trans liberation in our lifetime. If you are interested in singing in the Mass Choir, contact [email protected] to receive the music. Please help us promote this event far and wide, and make sure that ALL of God's children know they are loved just as they are and that they, too, deserve joy!

Join our Project CURE Volunteer Group Saturday, June 6th from 9:30 – 11:30 am! We help sort medical supplies on the first Saturday of every month at the Project CURE warehouse (2309 Clifton Ave. 37209). These are surplus supplies that are sent to countries all around the world that need them. No training required to participate! Please RSVP to the church office if you plan to attend. The funds raised support leadership development, new churches, youth ministry, and innovation in existing congregations. As God calls our congregations to be the church in new ways, your generosity will plant new churches, awaken new ideas in existing churches, and develop the spiritual life in our youth and young adults.”
