Welcome to The Upside-Down Kingdom!

Jesus did not simply come to help us become nicer people inside the same old systems. He came announcing a kingdom that flips the logic of the world on its head.

The world teaches us to accumulate, hurry, perform, protect, compete, and prove ourselves. Jesus teaches us to trust, rest, receive, give, forgive, serve, and seek first the kindom of God.

This series explores the teachings of Jesus that feel upside-down because they confront the assumptions we have inherited from the world. In this kindom, the poor are blessed, enemies are loved, the last are first, greatness looks like service, and life is found not by grasping, but by opening our hands.

This is not escapism. It is not passivity. It is a Spirit-shaped way of living in the real world with a different center, a different pace, a different identity, and a different posture.

In a previous sermon, we talked about Paul’s courage in Acts 25 and the possibility that your particular story might be part of how God brings people together.

The parts of you that once made you feel out of place may be the very places where compassion, understanding, and courage take root.

You do not have to become someone else to be useful to God.
