Last Sunday, Central United Methodist Church was honored to dedicate our History Room in memory of longtime member Virginia Bjorlin, whose love for Central and commitment to preserving our church’s history continue to bless our congregation.

We are grateful to our History Committee for their faithful work in preserving the stories, memories, and legacy of Central for future generations. It was especially meaningful to welcome Virginia’s grandchildren, Dan Norwood and Drew Norwood, and her great-granddaughter, Georgia Smith, along with their families, for this special dedication.

As we remember those who have helped shape our church’s story, we are reminded that God continues to write new chapters through each of us.

Join us tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. for worship as we celebrate God’s faithfulness, cherish our shared history, and look forward to all He has in store for Central’s future.

“One generation shall commend your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts.” — Psalm 145:4

Nathan Jones: First Sunday and Welcome Reception - May 17

On Sunday, May 17th, we will welcome our new Director of Music Ministries, Nathan Jones!

Nathan Jones will bring 16 years of experience in music ministry in the United Methodist Church to Central. Since August 2024, he has served as the director of Contemporary Choir at Hope United Methodist Church in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Before that, he served for 11 years at Winder First United Methodist Church in Winder, Georgia, and worked extensively directing both their contemporary and traditional worship.

Nathan believes that music is a vital part of the act of worship and an important means of strengthening the church community.

Join us for a welcome reception for Nathan and his family in the Hospitality Room immediately following the service.

Let's welcome him with warm hearts and open arms!
