As part of St. Paul's Easter service today, we celebrated the lighting of the Paschal candle and the flowering of the cross. We also enjoyed a rendition from our bell choir and resurrection of the Alleluias.

It's a big week, you know! The Holiest of weeks. Many of you have your own places to worship on Easter Sunday, but we would invite you to consider coming to one of the other important services this week at St. Paul's. The mystery of that gorgeous Episcopal church in downtown Monroe doesn't have to be so mysterious! Palm Sunday was the beginning and Easter Sunday is the end of Holy Week- but in between there are other services. Maundy Thursday commemorates the Last Supper of Jesus Christ with the apostles. Good Friday is all about Jesus' crucifixion and death, which most people know. The Easter Vigil is the period of time between sunset on Holy Saturday and Easter Sunday, and we'll have a service that evening (well, 5pm!) and it is the most holy service we do in the Episcopal church. Please come and experience Holy Week with us for one or multiple services. Our choral music is lovely, some of the services will be by candlelight, and you will be moved and awed by our space and our people. Hope to see you there.
