A big THANK YOU to all our Grace members, volunteers, helpers, and generous community donors who made our Fall Fest a success!

Whether you donated your time, shared your talents, contributed financially, or provided donations and prizes. We couldn’t have done it without you!

It was a joy to see everyone’s hard work, smiles, and generosity come together.

Thanks to your support, we were able to raise over $1,600 to help our fellow Bethel Lutheran Church members affected by the tornado in Menasha, WI.

Authority Established by God

Who is in charge? From our parents to our government, God establishes earthly authorities for our good. As we approach another election season and reflect on 250 years of our nation, may we remember to pray for our leaders and our country.

Through Jesus, who humbled himself and took our sins upon himself, we are reminded to live with love, respect, and humility.

May God's love guide our actions as we honor those in authority and trust in his rule over all things.

The Power of the Gospel

What moves your heart at church? The music, the message, or perhaps you sometimes feel unchanged?

Romans 1:16 reminds us that the gospel is “the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes.”

Like Jonah, we sometimes resist God and go our own way. Yet, through the good news of Jesus and his sacrifice on the cross, God transforms our hearts, gives us peace through faith, and freely offers the gift of salvation to all. We may be unworthy of his love, but his grace is greater than our sin!

The gospel is more than good news. It is God’s power to save us!

Speak Truth to Power

This Sunday, we were reminded: “Therefore, I Murmur Not.” As we run the race toward heaven, there will always be obstacles along the course. Pride, overconfidence, past successes, and sin can distract us or slow us down.

We are not perfect. We are all sinners, and we cannot simply rest on our morals or past accomplishments. Instead, we strive each day to be more like Christ. We will stumble and fail, but God is faithful to pick us up, strengthen our faith, and keep us moving forward.

“Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.” – Philippians 3:12

Our destination is clear: heaven is our true home and our citizenship is there. So, keep running the race, keep your eyes on Christ, and trust God to lead you home.

Real Repentance Looks Different

What does real repentance look like? It looks like a heart and life transformed by the mindset of Jesus.

In Philippians 2:1–11, Paul reminds us to look beyond ourselves and consider the needs of others. The world can encourage us to focus only on ourselves, our wants, and our struggles. But as Christians, we are called to something different.

“In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 2:5

Jesus humbled Himself and gave everything for us. He bought us with His own blood and showed us what selfless love truly looks like.

Some good reminders:
➡ Be humble and look out for others.
➡ Care for what God has entrusted to us, including ourselves.
➡ Look to God for strength and guidance.
➡ Let Christ’s love, not self-centeredness, motivate our actions.

Real repentance changes our direction. Let’s look to Christ and share His love with those around us.

What a privilege we have as Christians to share the truth of God’s forgiveness!

Jesus teaches us about binding and loosing in Matthew 18:18:

“Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

As Christians, we lovingly point one another away from sin and toward Christ. We warn those who are caught in sin, and when someone turns to Jesus in repentance, we have the wonderful privilege of assuring them:

Jesus has forgiven you!

His forgiveness isn’t something we earn, it was won for us through Christ’s death on the cross. What a blessing to encourage, restore, and remind one another of the forgiveness we already have in Jesus.

Thank God for brothers and sisters in Christ who faithfully point us back to his grace!

The Fall Shoreline Circuit Lutheran Women’s Missionary Society (LWMS) Rally is on Saturday, September 26, at First German Lutheran Church in Manitowoc!

🍽️ Lunch & Fellowship: 12:00 PM
📍 1033 S. 8th Street, Manitowoc

This year’s theme is “Declare His Marvelous Deeds to All Peoples” based on Psalm 96:3. Come hear from guest speaker Pastor Leon Ehlert as he shares about his work with the Asia-Oceana Team and spreading the Gospel around the world.

There will also be an opportunity to help direct offerings for the Spring 2027 Rally.

Come gather, learn, worship, and fellowship as we celebrate the work God is doing through missions. We’d love to see you there!
