Cross Comes Before Crown

“Lord, you understand; remember me and care for me. Avenge me on my persecutors.” — Jeremiah 15:15

Life isn’t always easy, and we aren’t perfect. We live sinful lives and face struggles and persecution, but God never lets go of us.

Our lives are in His hands. He knows our future, gives us grace, love, and patience, and gently turns us back to Him each day.

Be faithful, even when life is difficult, trusting that God is with you every step of the way.

Ms. Cindy Lendt accepted the call to serve as Women’s Ministry Coordinator for the Asia-Oceania Team starting July 2026. Women have unique challenges in many areas of Asia, and this position is focused on increasing their access to the gospel. Lendt will develop and oversee a comprehensive framework for women’s ministry across Asia-Oceania mission fields and coordinate local teams to amplify existing efforts and implement new initiatives.

Lendt grew up in Minnesota and graduated from Martin Luther College in 2009 with a double major in staff ministry and elementary education. She has taught students from kindergarten through university level in a variety of settings. Previously she served as a teacher and musician at St. John in St. Paul, Minn. (2009-2017), Good Shepherd in Burnsville, Minn. (2017-2019), with Friends Network in Southeast Asia (2019-2022), and St. Paul in Beverly Hills, Fla. (2022-2026). She will be moving to Chiang Mai, Thailand, at the end of the summer.

Rainforest Falls VBS was an AMAZING time earlier this month!

Throughout the week participants learned:
👉That God is with us.
👉God protects us.
👉God is perfect.
👉God is LOVE!

We made crafts, played games, sang songs, laughed, learned, and made so many wonderful memories.

Jesus reminds us that God's grace is for all people. In Matthew 15:21-28, we see the faith of a woman who trusted Jesus' mercy, and we are reminded that there is a place for everyone at God's table.

Rainforest Falls VBS:

Day 4 of last week brought lots of LOVE! Our animal of the day was Tia the Ant Eater.

We made “God Is Love” coasters and had a little fun watching Pastor Henning our Rainforest expert try to catch a very special butterfly! 🦋

It was another amazing day of learning, laughing, and growing in God’s Word!

Rainforest Falls VBS:

Day 3, we learned that God is always our protector!

Our Crew Leaders put it to the test by dropping an egg from up high to show us how God protects us, even when things seem scary!

We also made bracelets, practiced our listening ears, and played a fun game of animal tag!

Rainforest Falls VBS:

Day TWO was a ribbit-ing good time! The animal of the day was Seymour the frog.

We made ooey-gooey slime, had a splashy water balloon catch, and had a mid-day snack with some adorable and delicious frog cupcakes!

We’re having loads of fun learning about God’s amazing creation!
