It’s easy to think the early Church started because people were ready.

Like they had the plan, the structure, the clarity. That’s not what happened.

Acts 2 shows something different. God moved and everything changed from there.

The Church wasn’t built on talent, organization, or strong personalities. It was born when the Holy Spirit showed up and filled ordinary people.

And it didn’t just reach one kind of person. Different languages, different backgrounds, different stories— all brought together without losing what made them unique.

That’s the kind of Kingdom Jesus was pointing to.

And underneath all of it is this steady truth: God keeps His promises. Even when it feels delayed.

So the question isn’t whether God is able to move. It’s whether we’re trying to carry something on our own or actually depending on the same Spirit that started it all.

It’s easy to think the early church started because people had it together.

They had a clear plan, strong leaders, and everything lined up.

That’s not what happened.

The Church began because God showed up and people were willing to be there when He did.

They weren't perfect. Nor were they impressive. Just available.

And when His Spirit moved, it didn’t elevate a certain kind of person. It brought all kinds of people into something shared. Different stories, same foundation.

That hasn’t changed.

The question is…are we actually depending on Him, or just trying to carry something on our own that was never meant to be?

This Sunday we keep building into that.

Join us at 10am with Peter Leschke as we continue forward in our series "Building the Upside Kingdom".

Can't join us in person, you can watch online at www.myconnection.church/watch

Before anything else…this isn’t just a new series. It’s a look at what happens after the resurrection, when everything Jesus had been building finally starts to come into focus.

The book of Acts begins at a turning point. The message is no longer just something they heard… now it’s something they’re carrying. Jesus spent time with them, teaching them about the Kingdom and what was coming next.

Not just a new understanding…but a new way of living, a new kind of community,
and a mission that wouldn’t stay in one place.

Service starts at 10:00am. If you can’t be in the room, you can watch here:

Hope can feel like a fragile thing.

Easy to talk about when life is steady… harder to hold onto when it’s not.

Easter isn’t about pretending everything’s okay. It’s about remembering that even when things looked finished…they weren’t.

The stone was real. The silence was real. The grief was real.

And still—Jesus rose.

That means whatever feels final right now…might not be. Not because life suddenly gets easy, but because God is still moving.

Hope isn’t wishful thinking. It’s anchored in the fact that death didn’t win.

And it still doesn’t.

Hope isn’t a feeling you chase. It’s a person who came to save.

Jesus stepped into death… and walked out of it. Not to prove a point, but to make a way back to God.

The story of Easter isn’t about trying harder. It’s about what’s already been done.

This is The Story of Hope.
