Bitterness doesn’t start loud. It starts quiet.
A thought you don’t take captive.
A wound you don’t let God touch.
A seed you never meant to water, but now it’s growing.

And the longer you leave it unchecked,
The more it poisons your peace.
Your vision.
Your voice.

Hebrews 12:15 says,
“See to it… that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many.”

Because bitterness doesn’t just stay buried.
It spreads.
It seeps into how you speak, how you love, how you show up.
It clouds your discernment and hardens your heart.

Bitterness tells you,
“You’re just protecting yourself.”
But really?
It’s preventing your healing.

You can’t walk in full freedom while carrying full offense.
You can’t partner with Heaven while still replaying hellish pain.

Yes, they hurt you.
Yes, it was real.
But if the enemy can keep you bitter,
He doesn’t have to touch your body, because now he’s choking your spirit.

Forgiveness isn’t saying it didn’t matter.
It’s saying your freedom matters more.

So today pull up the root.
Name it.
Lay it at the feet of Jesus.
Let Him do surgery in the places you’ve been silently bleeding.

Because your heart was made to carry oil, not resentment.

"Lord, I feel so blessed, so honored that You would love me as You do. That You would not just shield and protect me but also reward me in so many ways and so lavishly. Because of Your perpetual love, I want to please You, to do right and walk right.
