Pastor's Devo for Wednesday, October 28th-
1 Corinthians 15:10 (AMP) But by the grace (the unmerited favor and blessing) of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not [found to be] for nothing (fruitless and without effect). In fact, I worked harder than all of them [the apostles], though it was not really I, but the grace (the unmerited favor and blessing) of God which was with me. The Apostle Paul acknowledged that his entire life; talents, gifts, abilities all were gifts from God. In fact, his salvation was a gift, even as it is for all of us. But he doesn’t just acknowledge it and forget it. No, he worked at becoming and doing all that he could for the glory of God. That raises a serious question for each of us. Are we seeking to become all that God gifted us to be? Is that what Paul meant in Philippians 2:12 …work out your own salvation with fear and trembling? More tomorrow.

Pastor's Devo for Tuesday, October 27th-
Where does our life come from? Our parents? Siblings? Self-effort? Government?
Psalm 139:13-16 (MSG) Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out; you formed me in my mother’s womb. I thank you, High God—you’re breathtaking! Body and soul, I am marvelously made! I worship in adoration—what a creation! You know me inside and out, you know every bone in my body; You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit, how I was sculpted from nothing into something. Like an open book, you watched me grow from conception to birth; all the stages of my life were spread out before you, The days of my life all prepared before I’d even lived one day. Our talents, giftings, abilities, even our IQ all come from God. We can develop them, and cultivate them until they reach their full potential and we become all the abilities we were born with permit us to be. Or we can ignore them, misuse them mismanage and waste them. And of course, we can convince ourselves that we deserve more than we have and make ourselves and others around us miserable. Make no mistake about it our life comes from God. Every day that we live is a gift from God. Did you thank Him today?

Pastor's Devo for Monday, October 26th-
Psalm 24:1 (NASB) The earth is the Lord’s, and all it contains, The world, and those who dwell in it. This verse answers the question who owns it, but if we stop here it will be a very short devotional. Where did we come from? Genesis 1:26-28 (AMP) God said, Let Us [Father, Son, and Holy Spirit] make mankind in Our image, after Our likeness, and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the [tame] beasts, and over all of the earth, and over everything that creeps upon the earth. So, God created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of God He created him; male and female He created them. And God blessed them and said to them, Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it [using all its vast resources in the service of God and man]; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and over every living creature that moves upon the earth. That answers the question of where humanity come from, but what about us as individuals? More Tomorrow.

Acts 4:32-33

Pastor's Devo for Sunday, October 25th-
Acts 4:32 - Now the full number of those who believed were of one heart and soul, and no one said that any of the things that belonged to him was his own, but they had everything in common.
(ESV)
The order of the Greek sentence says, “the heart and the soul [were] one.” The person’s whole being was one with all other believers. There was complete and total unity. How is that even possible? Remember this is not some small church of fifty members.
Acts 2:41-42 - That day about three thousand took him at his word, were baptized and were signed up. They committed themselves to the teaching of the apostles, the life together, the common meal, and the prayers. (MSG)
They had surrendered themselves totally, completely to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. There is NO other explanation. Christ became their life, their all in all. His will became their mission. They lived and existed to do what He said; they did it so that men might be saved from sin. Lest we think that it must have been easy to be a Christian in that first church read Acts 4, in fact read the entire book of Acts and discover how easy we have it! Our theme this week is who owns it? Is it time to analyze how we live? What are we living for?

Pastor's Devo for Saturday, October 24th-
Song of Songs 2:15 - Catch us the foxes, The little foxes that spoil the vines, for our vines have tender grapes. (NKJV)
At first look this verse seems out of place. What do foxes have to do with stairs? Let me explain. As we climb the stairs of verse 14, we should be producing fruit that pleases God. Here’s the thing about little foxes, they like to gnaw on the vines. They debark them which makes them susceptible to disease. We must be aware of the things that can limit or even eliminate our ability to be fruitful. Just as the foxes gnaw on the vines, there are spiritual “foxes” that can do serious damage to our spiritual life. So, what are some of those spiritual foxes? Pride, jealousy, impurity, doubt, fear, worry, anger, our sense of fairness, being offended, self-will, self-preservation. The list goes on and on. John 15:1-8. The secret of the stairs has everything to do with our spiritual growth and relationship with Christ. These two things: revelation and experience are the means to being spiritually fruitful. Don’t let anyone or anything keep you from being spiritually fruitful! Climb those stairs child of God! Godspeed!

Pastor's Devo for Friday, October 23rd-
Ephesians 2:10 - For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. (ESV)
The good works may be those circumstances that God has prepared and arranged that bring us into a practical understanding of the revelation He gave to us. Those situations that challenged our faith and trust were necessary for our growth and development. You had to go there to get here, where you are right now. Some day you will be able to say, I had to go there to get to the next step. Or, I had to go there so that revelatory truth could be worked into my spirit. God knows what we need to have the revelations become a part of our being AND He knows how to put you into the right situations that will do the job! If you are in one of those places right now, REJOICE, this is one of God’s “good works” all just for you!

Pastor's Devo for Thursday, October 22nd-
Song of Songs 2:14 - O my dove, that art in the clefts of the rock, in the secret places of the stairs, let me see thy countenance, let me hear thy voice; for sweet is thy voice, and thy countenance is comely. (KJV)
The secret places of the stairs begins with the clefts in the rock. What is that? A cleft is an opening in the rocks. The first secret is seeing where the openings are! Those places where God makes a way when there doesn’t seem to be a way. We may not even understand what God did until after the fact. Those are the secret places where we can take a step up. A stair has two parts that we see: the riser and the tread. The riser is revelation. A truth that God reveals to us that we had not seen before. When a Scripture is suddenly understood, that is revelation. When we begin to act on that truth, when we begin to walk it out that is the tread. We must experientially possess the truth revealed then God may give us another revelation. These stairs take us up into God’s highest and best for us. He is waiting at the top when you have climbed your last step!
