Lakewood Baptist Church exists to glorify and enjoy God by making disciples of Jesus Christ.

In the summer of 1986, Hurstbourne Baptist Church agreed to start a new mission in Louisville’s East End. On March 29, 1987, a small group of 17 people gathered in the home of Dr. and Mrs. Al Harris for the first worship service of what would become Lakewood Baptist Church. From those humble beginnings, we have continued to grow in our commitment to investing in disciple-making for the glory of Go
