Missioner on the Move:

This past week, the Good Missioner had to honor to preach and celebrate the Eucharist (Holy Communion) at Kentucky Correctional Institute for Women. This ministry is lead by our Vocation Deacons in the Episcopal Diocese of Kentucky.

I preached on the Call of Moses at the Burning Bush emphasing that God who identifies God's Self as YHVH or the I AM can also be translated: I AM BECOMING WHAT I AM BECOMING meaning whatever we need GOD IS. GOD IS: A Healer, Provider, Miracle Worker... The I AM who dwelt in the Burning Bush, dwells in us by the Spirit who manifests the Word of God through us giving voice even if like Moses we have a stuttering tongue.

Missioner on the Move: Today, The Good Missioner participated with VOCAL-Kentucky and Kentucky Harm Reduction Coalition for Day in downtown Louisville at Justice Square. We heard testimonies from the community as well as community leaders about prevention and allocated funds that the city should be spending on grassroot prevention and working with grass roots organizations who are doing harm reduction work.

Missioner Musings: Last Night, we had our soft launch of Jubilee Dinner Church at Christ Church Cathedral. We had about 25 people come together for Food, Fellowship, and Worship. We celebrated the Feast Day of Simeon Bachos whom Church Tradition named the Ethiopian Eu**ch. We talked about how being moved by the Spirit in the Mission of God revealed in Jesus, we are called to push the boundaries of Inclusion as the Kingdom of God breaking in gathering all the Triune God's Children into the Almighty Arms of Love!

Jubilee Dinner Church is held every 4th Thursday of each month providing a safe space, and safe place for those who are seeking a spiritual community, embracing their spirituality, or wanting to explore a healthy progressive inclusive faith following in the Way of Love who is Jesus, join us on September 24th Thursday 630pm at
