When a nation removes God as the ultimate authority and foundation for justice, the system breaks down. Without His truth to guide our laws and moral compass, we are left entirely to our own human judgment—and history shows that it simply does not work.

We see the tragic results when justice gets inverted: systems that end up shielding those who cause harm while failing to protect the most innocent among us. The heartbreaking reality of cases like Lindsay Clancy's is a sobering reminder of what happens when human governance loses its true moral anchor.

When a society trades God’s righteousness for its own rules, chaos replaces order and self-interest replaces real justice. We don't just need better policies; we need a return to the One who created us.

"Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness." — Isaiah 5:20

Religion can only go so far. Following rules, keeping up with rituals, and arguing theology might fill a routine, but religion alone can never transform your heart—only the gospel can.

The good news of Jesus doesn't just give us a set of guidelines; it changes us from the inside out. Why? Because it introduces us to God and brings us directly into His family. We aren't just followers of a system; through Christ, we become the sons and daughters of God. That personal, living relationship is what sets Christianity apart from every other religion on Earth.

People can debate religion all day long, but nobody can argue with a life that has been truly transformed. When you know Him, you are no longer the same person.

Human love often expects something in return—"I love you" can easily mean "I love what you do for me." But God’s love operates on an entirely different level.

1 John 4:16 tells us that God is love. His love isn't a mere sentiment, a passing feeling, or a transactional exchange. True love is a verb that requires no reaction. It is giving without expecting, serving without demanding, and choosing to act unconditionally regardless of the response.

We were wired for love because we were designed by the Creator of love Himself. When you experience His unconditional love, it changes how you love everyone around you.

We are so excited to gather together as a church family for an afternoon of delicious food, great fellowship, fun games, and sweet community in the sunshine. Whether you’ve been attending for years or are brand new to Core Church LA, this is the perfect opportunity to relax, connect, and get to know one another better outside of our regular service times!

What to Bring:

This year’s picnic is a potluck! Please bring a main dish, side, or dessert to share with the group. Don't forget your favorite picnic blanket, lawn chairs, pop-up canopy, and any outdoor lawn games (frisbee, co****le, soccer balls) you’d like to play!

The Bible was given to all of humanity, but its life-changing promises are unlocked through a relationship with the Author.

Technically, God’s Word is for everyone on planet Earth. But its promises, its peace, and its eternal hope belong to those who have surrendered to its Maker.

When you embrace Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, the Bible stops being just an ancient book and becomes your daily anchor, your living truth, and your divine inheritance. The promises of God become yours.

Don't just read the Word—know the One who wrote it. 📖✨

The world promises that if you reach the top, you’ll find peace. Earn the money. Gain the fame. Get the status. Live the life everyone else envies.

Yet time and time again, we see that worldly success leaves an absolute void inside. Why? Because we were not created to be satisfied by the creation—we were created to know our Creator.

Nothing this world has to offer can fill a space that was designed exclusively for God. When you chase the world, you’ll always end up empty. But when you chase the Father, you find a fulfillment that never fades.

Every Christian faces a defining choice: where will you anchor your life?

When the storms roll in—and we know they will—the rain falls on the wise and the foolish alike. The difference isn't the presence of trials, but the strength of your foundation.

A life built on shifting sand will collapse under pressure, but a house built on faith stands firm. Jesus is the Solid Rock. It is only in Him, grounded on His Word and His truth, that we can endure the brutal hardships and fierce trials of this life.

Knowing God’s Word is one thing. Living it out is another. 👇

You cannot separate your outward actions from your inward thinking.

James 1:22 reminds us:

"Prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves."

A fact in your head is only good if it becomes a truth in your heart that is lived out in your daily life.

It’s easy to collect biblical knowledge, memorize verses, and nod along on Sundays. But real transformation happens when Scripture moves from head knowledge to everyday obedience—in how you love your family, treat your coworkers, and respond when life gets tough.

Don’t just store up truth. Step out and live it. 📖✨
