"I didn't ask for this, I don't want to be here, but I’m here... so Lord, use me." 👇

Think about the Apostle Paul. God allowed him to be thrown into prison, and Paul completely understood the reality of his situation. His attitude wasn’t one of defeat, but of surrender: “Well, Lord, now I’m here and I can’t go anywhere. So use me where I’m at for Your glory.” See, that’s exactly where God wants all of us to get.

You might look around your current circumstances today and think, I don’t know why I’m here. I didn’t ask to be here. I definitely don’t want to be here. But you know what? You are there. And the Lord knows it.

When we shift our perspective from "Why is this happening to me?" to "God, use me in this no matter what," everything changes. He is the God who fulfills His purpose for us, and He is masterfully working all things together for good.

No matter where you find yourself today, God can use it. Let Him.

📖 Scripture to anchor your heart today:

Philippians 1:12-14 – Seeing how chains can actually advance the gospel.

Psalm 57:2 – Crying out to God Most High, who fulfills His purpose for me.

Romans 8:28 – Knowing that all things work together for good to those who love Him.

Who are you bringing to the Harvest Crusade?

We all have people in our lives—a family member, a neighbor, a coworker, or a close friend—who haven’t yet experienced the life-changing love of Jesus. This year, you have the perfect opportunity to invite them to take that next step.

Join us on July 11 at Angel Stadium for Harvest Crusade 2026 with Pastor Greg Laurie. It’s going to be an unforgettable night of powerful worship featuring Phil Wickham, Michael W. Smith, Kari Jobe Carnes, and Cody Carnes, followed by a clear, hopeful presentation of the gospel.

Start praying today about who God is laying on your heart to invite. Bring them along, sit with them, and watch what God can do in their lives!

🔗 Ready to plan your night? Get all the details, parking info, and promotional resources to share at harvest.org.

Unmerited. Unconditional. Unstoppable. ❤️

We were all in the same boat—broken, falling short, and far from perfect. But God doesn't call the qualified; He qualifies the called through a choice He made long ago: The choice to love the unlovable.

I was "doing everything wrong," yet He opened the fold and said, "Welcome home." We don't love to get His attention; we love because He gave us His everything first.

The "Me, Myself, and I" Trap 🪞⛓️
We’re living in the era of the Unholy Trinity: Me, Myself, and I.

In a world that screams "self-expression is king," it’s easy to let personal individuality reign supreme. Our culture has become obsessed with the grind of self-improvement and the ladder of personal achievement, often at the expense of the people right in front of us.

But here’s the truth: While growth is great, a life lived inward is a life lived small.

Finding the Balance ⚖️
The Apostle Paul modeled a different kind of heart—one that looks outward even when things are tough. In Philippians 1:7-8, he writes:

"It is right for me to feel this way about all of you, since I have you in my heart... God can testify how I long for all of you with the affection of Christ Jesus."

Paul wasn't focused on his "personal brand" or his own comfort; he was consumed with a deep, Christ-like affection for his community.

Is your self-improvement serving your ego, or is it equipping you to serve others?

Are you choosing your own "truth" over the needs of your neighbor?

Let’s trade the isolation of the "Unholy Trinity" for the beauty of the Body of Christ. Bring those personal goals into balance and start longing for the people around you with the heart of Jesus.

Stop trying to "fix" yourself before you turn to God. 🛑

Salvation is a gift, not a reward for good behavior. Philippians 1:6 reminds us that HE is the one who starts the work and HE is the one who finishes it.

Bring the problems.

Bring the unbelief.

Bring the brokenness.

He takes you as you are today, and spends the rest of your life making you who you were meant to be. 🙌

Did you know that the "Book of Joy" was written behind bars? Paul was awaiting trial for preaching the Gospel, yet he used the word "Joy" seven times in just four short chapters.

If Paul can find a reason to rejoice in a Roman prison, there’s hope for whatever you’re walking through today. 📖🙏

Read more in Philippians 1.

Join us this Good Friday at noon, when we set aside time to reflect on the ultimate gift.

Before the celebration of the empty tomb, we gather to honor the depth of His love. Join us for a noonday service of reflection and sacrifice as we walk through the shadows of the cross and prepare our hearts for the joy of Easter.

All are welcome as we honor this holy day.

Whether you missed the live study or just need to hear these truths one more time, the message from Isaiah 47 is now available to stream!

This week, Pastor Shannon walked us through a powerful teaching titled "Rescued From Loss." In a world that often feels like it's spinning out of control, this chapter serves as a sobering yet hopeful reminder that while earthly kingdoms fall, God’s purpose for His people remains unshakable.

Chapter Summary: Isaiah 47

Isaiah 47 is a "taunt song" directed at the pride of Babylon. Once a "tender and delicate" queen of kingdoms, Babylon is stripped of her throne because of her ruthless treatment of others and her ultimate sin: self-deification. She claimed, "I am, and there is none besides me"—a title that belongs to God alone.

Isaiah shows us that no amount of worldly wisdom, sorcery, or wealth can stop the sovereign judgment of God, yet in that judgment, He makes a way to rescue His own from the wreckage of a falling world.

A Midday Moment with the Maker

Looking for a spiritual "reset" in the middle of your week?

At Core Church, we believe that Tuesday at noon isn’t just a break in the workday—it’s an opportunity to align our hearts with Heaven. We invite you to join our weekly Corporate Prayer Meeting every Tuesday at 12:00 PM. Whether you are carrying a heavy burden, celebrating a victory, or simply seeking more of His presence, there is a seat at the table for you.

Why We Pray Together
While personal prayer is the heartbeat of a believer’s life, corporate prayer is the engine of the Church. There is a unique, supernatural authority released when the Body of Christ gathers with one voice.

The biblical foundation for our gathering is rooted in the early church’s dependency on God. In Acts 4:31, we see the power of collective intercession:

"And when they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued to speak the word of God with boldness."

We also stand on the promise of Jesus in Matthew 18:20:

"For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them."

What to Expect
A Welcoming Atmosphere: No "perfect" prayers required. We value sincerity over eloquence.

Focused Intercession: We pray for our community, our families, and the global Church.

Spiritual Refreshment: Leave the noise of the world behind for one hour of focused connection with the Father.

When: Every Tuesday | 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM

Where: The Forge High School Room

Let’s be a people who don't just work for God, but who wait on Him. We can’t wait to seek His face with you this Tuesday.
