Here's what is happening at Reality LA in November.

November 8 — COMMUNITY GROUP LEADERS MEETING
All community group leaders—please join our last quarterly meeting of 2026 to connect with one another, share new information, and review upcoming events.

November 8 — NEW AT REALITY LA
The best place to hear more about our church, meet some of our church leadership, and learn what it means to be a member of Reality LA. Lunch will be provided! RSVP: 🔗 reality.la/newatrealityla

November 15-26 — THANKSGIVING WITH SERVE LA
Join the Thanksgiving celebration by donating turkeys, sleeping bags, and blankets for their guests and by helping prepare and serve their Thanksgiving meal.

November 22 — Q&A
Text us questions from your faith journey now at 213-640-9771 or send us a dm, and then stay after the gathering on November 22 for the Q&A! This Q&A is a place where doubts can be respected and curiosity is encouraged.

November 29 — FAMILY SUNDAY
On this first Sunday of Advent, kids ages 4+ will join us in our main church gathering. Parents, pick up activity packets for your kids before heading into the gathering. Kids ministry will still be available for nursery and toddlers.

November 29 — REGIONAL CONNECT
Stay after church to reconnect with people in your area or meet a new friend and make plans to join one another at Thursday's Regional Prayer!

Money, money, money! Scripture tells us to not let money rule our world, but also talks about being a good steward of it. Ecclesiastes 5-6 gives us a whole new perspective on money and "how much is enough."

We pray to God because we believe he has power over the world. He can make things happen. He moves the mountains and calms the water. But then why do we pray and be upset when our prayers aren't answered immediately? Or the way WE want them to be?

If we pray to God, trusting that he is in charge of the universe, then we also need to trust his timing, even when it doesn't align with our plans. We must trust in his sovereignty and his plan, more than our own.

Easy, right? No. This can be hard. Join us on Sundays as we walk through Ecclesiastes. A book in the Bible, allllll about this. A promise we can always lean on? God is beside us at all times, in all seasons.

📍This Sunday: Ecclesiastes 5-6 ~ How much money is enough?

Money promises so much: comfort, freedom, security, and the ability to enjoy life. Yet no matter how much we have, it can be surprisingly difficult to feel like we have enough. Ecclesiastes helps us see money for what it is: not something to live for, but a gift to receive and enjoy without letting it rule our lives.

We all are motivated by money, but this topic may hit particularly home with your coworkers, friends, or family. If someone comes to mind, invite them to process this with us on Sunday morning.

Andddd, it is one of our favorite times—Baptism Sunday! During the 2nd set of worship, there will be baptisms. If you want to be baptized but didn't register, it's not too late. We will have pastors you can talk to beforehand as well as a change of clothes and towel provided. Listen for the call after the sermon.

Our 9th summer of Royal Family KIDS Camp was another week of joy, growth, sacrifice, and love! 42 children who are or have been part of the foster care system in LA County came to camp, where they spent a week learning about Jesus, participating in activities and crafts, and experiencing and displaying the love of Jesus.

RFKC might seem like something that happens in June and is then placed away until the next year, but it is actually connected to a beautiful ministry that happens all year round through our Royal Family KIDS Mentorship program. Many of the campers are able to receive 1-on-1 mentorship throughout the year and participate in monthly group gatherings, creating enduring relationships that serve to deepen discipleship in everyday life and provide support for the children and their families beyond the week of camp.

We are so deeply grateful to God for providing the opportunity to serve these image-bearing children and to seek to display the love of God throughout the year.

📍This Sunday: Ecclesiastes 4:7-16 ~ Why are we so lonely?

We are more connected than ever, yet so many of us feel alone. We long to be known, loved, and surrounded by people who will walk through life with us. Ecclesiastes reminds us that we were never meant to live alone and shows us why relationships are not just helpful, but essential to a life well lived.

It takes a village but a village requires community and commitment. Invite someone from your village to join you at church this Sunday, and then take them for coffee or brunch after.
