The little things!

As I was combining today, I was unloading into the auger cart and I saw a vehicle go by a couple times slowly and then pull over and stop. I had a minor repair to make and the vehicle stayed... I was a little concerned until I happened to catch 3 little sets of eyes looking out windows.

I went over and they rolled down the window and I asked if they needed anything and the lady explained their grandchildren were visiting from Florida and had never seen "farmer stuff" up close. There were 2 boys and a little girl.. I'd assume they were between the ages of 6 and 9. The two boys were all giddy but the little girl, while sweet and excited was pretty quiet.

I also happen to notice that she kept turning away from me and there was a scar or a birthmark or something on her face... And I felt really bad trying to figure out what it was because I was feeling like I'm staring at her..

The grandmother and her husband thanked me for stopping and saying hi and said they would get going because they knew farmers were busy this time of the year... And I said be careful and have a good trip...

It was then that one of the boys said are you going to be going soon cuz we would like to see what that machine does... the grandmother quickly quieted them and I said would it be okay if I took them for a ride...

She then said No we're sure your way too busy for that and I said no I'm by myself for now I've got time so she asked the two boys if they wanted to go and of course they did but the little girl stayed back.

I asked her again if she wanted to go and she said no thank you and so the boys and I went and got in the combine and we made one round and came back... While in the combine I said why didn't your sister want to come... they said shes shy. I then, because of curiosity, asked them about her face... And they told me it was a birthmark and that she gets picked on about it a lot.

After their ride I walked them back over to their grandparents car and I said to the little girl How come you didn't want to go for a ride? And she said well the boys always say that that kind of stuff is just for boys not for girls...

I laughed and said You know, there are girl farmers AND I even had a young girl in that cab just yesterday. Would you like a ride? She looked at her Grandma and she said go ahead if you want.

I then asked the grandmother if she had a smartphone and knew how to video... She laughed and said I have grandchildren of course I know how to video... So I told her have your phone ready and when you see me turn on the yellow flashing lights video the combine.

The little girl and I got in the cab and I turned the machine around and went back into the field at the end of it and came back facing her grandparents vehicle. I then said to her...here.. you can turn the steering wheel... she first looked at me like I was on crack co***ne... But I finally convinced her and I told her not everybody gets to do this but people that are part of the special face Club definitely get to...but its a secret reason why you get to drive so you cant tell anyone. We even pinky swore on it...

The smile she had made this old tired grumpy mans heart soft and there must have been some Bean dust in the cab because my allergies started acting up just a little bit... So I let her "steer" and turned on the yellow lights on the way back so her Grandma could video tape her "driving by".

We got out of the combine and she still had a huge smile on her face and ran over to her grandma and was a little Chatterbox did you see me did you see me I got to drive I got to drive... Her brothers were obviously a little miffed... And ask her why she got to drive... I was afraid she was going to tell them why... But with all the sass of a little brunette girl with her hair in a pony she looked at them both matter-of-factly and said Because girls CAN farm.

My allergies started acting up a little bit again as she came back running over to me and gave me a huge hug and told me thank you... The grandfather came over and patted me on the shoulder shook my hand said I don't know what you said to her...but that's the biggest smile we've seen on her this vacation so far... the boys shook my hand and thanked me and got back into the vehicle and drove away... Leaving me to my thoughts

And all I could think of was if one of the combines hadnt broke down yesterday, I wouldn't have been in that field this morning, and I wouldnt have been by myself and we would have been really pushed wherever we were at to keep up with everything...and it proved to me once again everything happens for a reason...

All three of their faces were on my mind the rest of the day but mostly hers... not because of her birthmark, because of her genuine smile in the confidence that she showed when she got to get out of that combine and "brag" a little to the boys.

My gramps told me long ago to always be patient with children and people you come in contact with. I remember the countless times that he would let me "drive" the tractor... and the exhilaration and happiness that I felt during that time... And I swore that I was going to make other people feel that way when I got older... and I've definitely failed at that numerous times.. but I'm trying..

But, Im kind of thinking maybe that's what I did today or maybe that little girl made me feel like that little boy with his Gramps all those years ago.

30 minutes out of 24 hours... I need to do that more often....

Today was a good day... and one I shall not soon forget.

comfort. This is a relative word relating to a state of mind. Comfort is what we all desire as it denotes rest, peace, contentment, security, safety. Comfort in the kingdom is a little bit different. Taking comfort in knowing that I the Lord your God will keep you in perfect peace (Isaiah 26:3-4) is comfort on a whole different level. Most of the time when we are not comfortable it means that your flesh is more in control than your spirit and this makes everything seem very uncomfortable. (Romans 8:13) Because of this the enemy gains an inroad into your psyche and therefore can easily derail you. The flesh is a powerful force that must be put in its place when learning to walk in the spirit. Because of this it is up to the individual to first make the decision to command the flesh to come in line with the Spirit of God and the Word of God. Allow your spirit to rise up and defeat the flesh by standing on the Word of God and your faith in knowing that God will bring to pass what He has promised. Promise is a key word here. The promises of God are a done deal (2 Cor 1:20) therefore you must learn to hear in the spirit and wait on the manifestation of the promise. Anyone who has walked in faith knows this principle. Rests in the principle. Live it now. Pursue and accept it now.

Going to start a new series on the person and works of the Holy Spirit tonight, be praying for changed lives! In the next few weeks will be sharing some insights from the teaching. Pray for a mighty move of the Holy Spirit in Helena Montana!

The Bible says the first time God destroyed the earth by water and he promised to never do that again. I won’t even pretend I understand all of the book of Revelation, but I do understand that I do wish to spend eternity in Heaven. I have been hearing about the second coming of Christ and the events unfolding since I was a child. The "Mark of the Beast" Artificial Intelligence, microchips, no cash/digital currency, total government dependency/control. No one can comprehend how bad it will be, but we see it happening, bit by bit, on the news everyday. While the devil is preparing people for the Anti Christ, God is preparing people for the Rapture. I don’t know when the rapture will take place but I know that I’m not planning to be left behind when that trumpet sounds! I also believe right now that God is giving us a chance to turn our lives around and live according to His will. We need to get the Gospel message out! Until the good Lord calls me away from this world to go home, I want to make it clear that I believe in Jesus Christ as the one and only true Lord and Savior. Despite the fact that I am human, and I fail a lot, I believe that Jesus is the Son of God.
This is the best challenge I have seen on Facebook, so if the Holy Spirit moves you and you’re not ashamed, just COPY, and make this your status update. I’m a believer in God The Father, Jesus The Son, - Amen🙏🏻

It hit -38 this morning in Helena Mt, not loving this at all! Had to thaw the propane regulator at 3:30 am, now water is frozen. But there is hope! Friday it is supposed to hit +40! going to feel like summer! Regardless of the temps God is still in charge and has an amazing plan for our lives. Psalm 91.

Well dang y’all!! I’ve been here just over a week and it’s been WILD!!
So firstly, I’ve got 7 roommates! All of us are the older gals in the group with the oldest being 35 and the youngest being 25. And all of us are in the medical field already or making their way into it.
This first week has been PACKED. We got our work duties and the whole Med DTS helps out with breakfasts for the campus every morning except for weekends. This will be my first weekend off!! While it’s early mornings, we only have to put in those two hours every morning during the week and then we have the rest of the day to do studies, class, and quiet time.
We’ve also started the medical portion of our classes for the semester. It includes getting an ETT certification which, in terms of scope of practice, is in between an EMR and EMT. This is a certification allowed in Alaska. It’s been a great refresher for me!! Getting to do education and sit in on lectures has always been my favorite thing 😁
Along with classes, we’ve been growing closer as a group by having introduction-type questions that often gets a bit long but in the best way; we’ve got 28 students in our school!
And while we don’t have our outreach locations yet, today we got to exercise some faith muscles. We broke up into a few groups and prayed that God would reveal something. We got a lot of great stuff and I’m so excited to see where God sends us.

In the spirit of vulnerability in this season, one of the things I struggled with before arriving, was the prospect of exerting the energy to make new friends. I knew off the bat that I wasn’t capable of keeping things shallow, but I have lived this past year out of burnout and I was feeling triggered at the thought of continuing to pour out of an empty cup. I am so happy to inform y’all that all of that anxiety is GONE. While I was even on the plane here, I had a moment with God and I was given a promise, the peace to back it up, and a command to TRUST HIM. I am absolutely in love with my roommates already and God has done such things in all of our hearts and minds even in this first WEEK. To say that I’m excited for the rest of my time is a severe understatement. I don’t even have a word that could explain how ready I am to keep this train rollin.

And that’s my first week of YWAM! I’m so grateful for all your support and am boldly asking that you continue in it as you’re led. Keep me in your prayers and intercession!!
