What a wonderful Sunday morning at Community Presbyterian Church of West Fargo! ⛪️💙

Today, Andrew Thostenson led us in worship with a message centered on the question, “From Where Will Our Help Come?” Through Psalm 121 and Romans 8:31–39, we were reminded of the steadfast presence of God and the assurance that nothing can separate us from His love.

A special thank you to Andrew for leading today’s service, Gayle Thostenson for serving as liturgist, Natalie Probasco for sharing her musical gifts, Kevin Galt for leading Praise & Worship, and to everyone who helped make this morning’s worship and fellowship possible.

Our mission focus continues to be winter wear for Bdecan Presbyterian Church on the Spirit Lake Reservation. Monetary donations will help the Ministry Team purchase coats, snowpants, boots, and other winter necessities for school children. Clean, gently used winter clothing for children and adults, gloves, mittens, hats, blankets, and quilts are also welcome.

As we head into a new week, may we carry today’s reminder with us: our help comes from the Lord, and His love holds us through all things.

Trustees put a bit more light into the Sanctuary after worship this morning. Those light fixtures are about 25 feet above the chancel.

It was a beautiful morning of worship and fellowship at Community Presbyterian Church of West Fargo!

Kevin Galt led us in worship today, including “Good God Almighty” by David Crowder, as we gathered for a morning of praise, prayer, Scripture, and time together. Our message, “Remember the Rock–Become the Offering,” encouraged us to remember the foundation of our faith and carry it with us into the week ahead. 🙏

Donations of clean, gently used winter clothing, gloves, mittens, hats, blankets, and quilts are welcome, along with monetary donations to help purchase needed winter gear. ❤️

Cleaning up after Lumberjack Days is so hard. Here is the last load of tree trimmings for the Transfer Station. Two truckloads and two trailer loads were dispatched in just 52 minutes!

Trustees got their lumberjack ya yas out trimming trees this morning. Kevin had so much fun he is turning semi-pro. Lynn, Veril, and Andrew will remain amateurs.

🌿 Sunday Worship Recap | August 9, 2026 🌿

What a meaningful morning of worship at Community Presbyterian Church of West Fargo!

Today, we were blessed to have Kevin Galt lead our worship and share the message, “God Is Near: Hearing the Whisper and Answering the Call.” Through Scripture, prayer, music, and reflection, we were reminded that God is near—even in the quiet moments—and that we are called to listen and respond.

🎶 We also enjoyed worship through music, including “Goodness of God” and “I Have Decided to Follow Jesus.”

A special thank-you to Kevin Galt for leading us today, Caleb Lawson for providing our music, Vicki Peihl for serving as liturgist, and to everyone who helped make today’s worship service possible.

Sunday Reflections ✝️

Today's message from Rev. Donna Monteith, "Hold Tight," reminded us that some of life's greatest blessings come after our hardest struggles. Through Jacob's encounter in Genesis 32, we were reminded that faith isn't about never struggling—it's about refusing to let go of God, even in the middle of life's hardest moments.

Sometimes we're tired. Sometimes we're uncertain. Sometimes we're carrying burdens no one else can see. But God meets us right where we are, and He can use even our struggles to strengthen our faith and transform our lives.

Thank you, Rev. Donna Monteith, for another meaningful message that reminded us to keep holding on, trusting God's timing, and believing His blessings are worth the wait.

"Our worship has concluded, now our service begins." May we carry today's message into the week ahead by loving others, showing grace, and holding tight to the One who never lets go of us. ❤️🙏

Here is the Brent Vernon Concert. Unfortunately, we had some issues getting the audio to mesh with the streaming system. The sound was terrific in the sanctuary, but not so much over the web. the first 20 minutes or so are okay, the last 2/3 of the concert were much better. Thanks again Brent. You did a fantastic job sharing the gospel. We deeply enjoyed and appreciated you AND Sam.

✨ What a beautiful Sunday at Community Presbyterian Church! ✨

Today was one of those worship services that stays with you long after you leave. ❤️

We were blessed to hear Andrew Thostenson share a heartfelt message, "The Creator's Love for Creation," based on Psalm 121, reminding us of God's unfailing care, His love for His creation, and the hope we find in Him. It was a message that encouraged us to pause, look around, and see God's hand at work in our everyday lives. 📖🌿

Following worship, we enjoyed an incredible concert by Brent Vernon & Sam. 🎶 Their music brought so much joy, laughter, and fellowship, making an already special morning even more memorable. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make today such a blessing!

As we begin a new week, may today's message continue to encourage and inspire you wherever God leads you.
