A big milestone this week! We finish our first read-through of the Psalms on our Rooted journey for the year.

Which Psalm has really spoken to you or stuck with you during this reading?

This week, we also finish Job and will continue our Wisdom series readings with the book of Proverbs, reflecting on how true wisdom begins with reverent fear of the Lord.

What if faith isn’t having all the answers?

This Sunday, we’ll spend time in the book of Job — one of the most honest and challenging books in Scripture. Job does not give us easy answers for suffering, grief, or the moments when life feels confusing. But it does invite us to listen for God’s voice in the middle of the mystery.

Before Sunday, this short video from BibleProject is a helpful way to step into the story.

Then join us for worship as we reflect on Job, faith, humility, and the God who is still present even when we do not understand everything.

Need food? Know someone who does?

The Gray UMC Food Pantry is open every Monday from 9:00 AM to noon. On the second Monday of each month, we also offer an additional evening session from 5:00–7:00 PM.

We are a Free Choice Pantry, which means guests are able to choose the food items that best meet their household’s needs.

This ministry is open to our community, and everyone is welcome.

This Sunday is Trinity Sunday — a day when Christians remember that God has made Himself known as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

That can sound complicated, and honestly, it is. The Trinity is not something we fully explain or reduce to a simple formula. But it is the church’s way of confessing what we see throughout Scripture: the one God comes to us as Father, Son, and Spirit.

This short video from BibleProject is a helpful introduction, especially as we prepare to confess the faith of the church together this Sunday through the Nicene Creed.

At the heart of it all is good news: God is not distant, vague, or unknowable. God has come near in Christ, remains present through the Spirit, and invites us into His life and love.

The biblical concept of God is complex. It describes Him as both one and three. Watch and explore a biblically accurate description of God and His identity.

Wednesday evening check-in:

Where have you seen God’s goodness this week?

Maybe it came through a conversation, a quiet moment, an answered prayer, a beautiful place, or just enough strength to keep going.

Share yours in the comments. Your story, even a small one, may be exactly the encouragement someone else needs tonight.

On Memorial Day, we take time to pause and reflect on the sacrifices of so many on our behalf. Our reading of Job brings us up close to grief and confusion when faced with loss. As we continue our Rooted journey this week, may we reflect on the wisdom and greatness of God, who is near to all those who call on Him.
