Buffalo Ridge Baptist Church

Buffalo Ridge Baptist Church Buffalo Ridge is the Sunday place to be! Historic Past - Bright Future This is the Statement of Faith that our church holds to.

The Holy Scriptures

We believe in the verbal (every word) and plenary (complete) inspiration of God’s Word. We believe God’s Word is the final authority for faith and life, inerrant in it’s entirety, God-breathed, and the supreme standard. We believe the King James Version is the preserved Word of God in English today and will be the only version used at our Church. (II Timothy 3:15-17; Psalm 119

:160; Romans 15:4; II Peter 1:19-21; Revelation 22:18-19; Psalm 12:6-7)
The Godhead

We believe there is one and only one living and true God, manifested in the unity of the Godhead: the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost. We believe the Godhead is co-equal in power and glory, co-eternal in being and executing distinct but harmonious offices in the great work of redemption. (Exodus 20:2,3; I Corinthians 8:6; I John 5:7; Revelation 4:11; Deuteronomy 6:4; II Corinthians 13:14)
The Person and Work of the Lord Jesus Christ

We believe in the deity of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, perfect God and perfect man; that He is God manifested in the flesh, conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of the virgin Mary. We believe He lived a sinless life on earth; that He died on Calvary’s cross and shed His precious blood as a satisfactory sacrifice for sinners; that His body was buried and he arose the third day. We believe He ascended to Heaven and He is coming again for His own. (Isaiah 7:14; II Corinthians 5:21; Matthew 1:18-25; John 16:7-8; I Peter 1:18-19)
The Creation and Fall of Man

We believe that man was created by a direct of God and not by any evolutionary process (Genesis 2:7); that man was created in God’s own image, but through his transgression sin entered into the world, and death by sin—not only physical death—but spiritual death, which is conscious and eternal separation from God; and that consequently, his posterity inherit a corrupt nature, being born in sin under its condemnation. (Genesis 3:6-19; Romans 5:12; Psalm 51:5; Jeremiah 17:9)
Salvation

We believe that a person is saved when he repents of his sin and by faith receives the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. We believe salvation is a gift of eternal life wholly by the grace of God without any merit or works. We believe the atonement of Christ is not limited, but that God desires all to be saved. (I Corinthians 15:3-4; Romans 6:23; Romans 10:9-10; Acts 16:31; II Peter 3:9; Ephesians 2:8-9; Ephesians 1:7)
Heaven

We believe in an actual place called Heaven where God’s immediate presence is manifested, where angels dwell, and where the redeemed who are justified by faith in Jesus Christ shall ultimately dwell. (John 14:1-3; Revelation 21-22:6)
Hell

We believe in a literal, burning Hell and that the Lake of Fire and Brimstone shall be the place of eternal punishment for Satan, fallen angels, demons, and the unbelieving dead. (Mark 9:42-48; Luke 16:22-26; Revelation 20:12-15; Revelation 21:8)
The Second Coming of Christ

We believe in the bodily, personal, premillenial and imminent coming of the Lord Jesus Christ into the air to catch away all believers unto Himself before the tribulation period. We also believe in the personal, visible, and glorious return of Christ to the earth, with believers, at the close of the tribulation period to judge the nations and to set up His millennial Kingdom on earth. (Acts 1:11; John 14:3; I Thessalonians 4:13-18; Matthew 24:42-44)

You and I can complain about all of the problems that we have. Or, we can say, what a blessing that God meets with us. - Pastor John Herdman.

A life with Jesus isn't one without problems, but one that promises His presence through it all!

God doesn't NEED us to accomplish work for Him in this world, but what a beautiful thing that He WANTS us to be involved!

GOD DOESN'T NEED YOU. BUT HE STILL WANTS YOU.

It's always been God's desire to commune and dwell with us.

All the way back to the Garden of Eden, He walked with Adam and Eve in the cool of the day, having communion with His creation.

But sin broke that fellowship. Before we came to Christ in faith, we were enemies of God, cut off from the relationship He longed for.

So God sent His Son Jesus Christ to take care of the one thing keeping us from Him.

He didn't just want our sins forgiven, He wanted us back in the family.

And here's what makes it even more beautiful: God doesn't need anything from us. His hand isn't shortened. He's not figuring out how to get the work done.

But He still chose to pull us into His work, to make us laborers together with Him.

Not because He needs our hands, but because He wants us close enough to use them.

What if some of the burdens you carry are actually answers to prayer?

It’s easy to ask God for something… then complain when it comes with responsibility, sacrifice, or difficulty.

The marriage you prayed for.
The children you longed for.
The job you hoped would open up.

Sometimes the very blessings we once thanked God for become the things we take for granted.

When frustration starts to outweigh gratitude, pause and remember: these aren’t interruptions to your life, they’re gifts from God.

A grateful heart changes perspective.
Complaints focus on the pressure. Gratitude remembers the blessing. 🙏
