"We are honored to celebrate the freedom and independence of our nation. Ultimately though we are reminded of the greatest freedom of all—the liberty we have in Jesus Christ!

As the scripture says, 'Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.' (2 Corinthians 3:17).

"Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends." — John 15:13

Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. As Christians, we are deeply familiar with the profound weight of a life given for others. We thank God for the liberties we enjoy, and we pray for His profound comfort and peace to cover the families who are missing their loved ones today. Let us never take these freedoms for granted.
