In the last 30 days, far too many Black women have been taken from us—by husbands, by exes, by sons. And these are just some. Can you imagine the amount of others?

And while headlines and their abusers reduce them to victims… we refuse to let their stories end there.

They were sisters. Pet lovers. Leaders. Friends. Dreamers. Women building lives, loving deeply, and showing up for their communities every single day.

They were more than what was done to them.

This is a reminder—and a call:
To protect Black women.
To believe Black women.
To check on Black women.
To create spaces where we can live fully, safely, and without fear.

We say their names. We honor their lives. And we demand better.

Ladies, you are warmly invited to attend the Women Worthy of Honor – Sisters in Spirit Conference on Saturday, March 21, 2026 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM in Muskegon Heights, MI.

This women’s Christian mental wellness gathering will focus on:

❤️ **Do You Have Heart Disease?** ❤️

Before you answer too quickly… I’m not talking about your physical heart. I’m asking about your *spiritual* heart.

The Bible teaches us that the condition of our heart matters deeply to God. Spiritual heart disease shows up when our behavior is contrary to the Fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22–23).

The Fruit of the Spirit is:
✨ Love
✨ Joy
✨ Peace
✨ Patience
✨ Kindness
✨ Goodness
✨ Faithfulness
✨ Gentleness
✨ Self-control

When we consistently operate in anger instead of love…
Chaos instead of peace…
Impatience instead of patience…
Harshness instead of gentleness…
Lack of self-control instead of discipline…

These may be symptoms of a spiritual heart condition.

The good news? ❤️
God specializes in heart transplants. Ezekiel 36:26 says, “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you.”

Today is a good day for a spiritual heart check. Ask God to search your heart, cleanse it, and help you produce fruit that reflects Him.

The Titus 2 Women’s Ministry of Lifequest Urban Outreach Center Grand Rapids is sponsoring the screening of the Whitmore project,  one Black woman’s breast cancer journey.

Did you know black women have a higher death rate with their breast cancer diagnosis, and young Black women under the age of 35 are the fastest-growing group of women receiving breast cancer diagnoses.
