This year, Resurrection is a drop-off site for Catholic Community Services’ Back to School Supply Drive. Starting this week, we will be collecting new school supplies for children in our community.

Father, Creator of all, thank You for summer!
Thank you for the warmth of the sun
and the increased daylight.
Thank You for the beauty I see all around me
and for the opportunity to be outside and enjoy Your creation.
Thank You for the increased time I have to be with my friends and family,
and for the more casual pace of the summer season.
Draw me closer to You this summer.

Good News Garden Work Party:

Wednesday, May 13th at 5:00

Join us as we spruce up the garden and plant some veggies. This year, all of our produce will go to St. John's Shepherd's Table food pantry.

The Eugene & Springfield Episcopal churches will join together, Thursday May 14th for our Ascension Day Service. Dinner will be at 6:00 and the service will begin at 7:00. All are welcome.

The Ascension is "the occasion on which the risen Christ is taken into heaven after appearing to his followers for forty days (Acts 1:1-11, Mk 16:19). The Ascension marks the conclusion of Jesus' post-resurrection appearances. It is the final elevation of his human nature to divine glory and the near presence of God. The Ascension is affirmed by the Nicene and Apostles' Creeds. The Ascension is celebrated on Ascension Day, the Thursday that is the fortieth day of the Easter season. It is a principal feast of the church year in the Episcopal Church."
