September 13 GOD'S WORK OUR HANDS SUNDAY - MARK YOUR CALENDARS. We will be assembling school kits, writing letters to members of the congregation, cleaning the nursery, and collecting food for Adams Elementary food Pantry.

Fill the Bins, Fill the Pantry
On Sundays, September 6 and 13, United Lutheran will be collecting food for the Adams food pantry. Make a difference right here in our community by donating food to feed kids and families. Watch for the bins on the counter in the narthex and fill the bins; fill the pantry.

Following the worship service on Sunday, September 20, the adult forum will include the presentation and distribution of the 100th Anniversary booklets. One copy of the booklet will be available, FREE of charge, to each family. Additional copies will be $10 apiece, to cover cost. If you cannot attend that Sunday, you may pick up your family's copy in the church office after September 20.

Shabbat at Wayne Morse Family Farm, Friday, September 4, 6pm. Welcome Shabbat in the beautiful outdoors. Bring a blanket or lawn chairs, along with a picnic dinner. Temple Beth Israel will
provide light snacks.

End-of-summer Interfaith Picnic! This event will be held on Labor Day, September 7, from 5:30-7:30 at Alton Baker Park. Bring your picnic dinner, friends, frisbees, and games to this family-friendly event. Social justice representatives from local religious centers will offer opportunities to get involved. Drinks and light snacks provided.

Save the Date - Sunday, October 4th
After worship, we will be celebrating United’s 100th birthday with a meal catered by Mucho Gusto. Sign-up sheets are in the narthex. We will need a count by September 20th

You are invited to an afternoon of string quartet goodness. This concert will feature the Danish String Quartet arrangements of their Wood Works album, along with a few other favorite tunes. Please join us!

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY
Join us for the 5th annual Ice Cream Social SUNDAY 1:00-3:00pm. Located at the ReStore in Eugene on 1210 Oak Patch Rd (just off W 11th). This is a free-to-attend, family-friendly event, but please remember it is also a fundraiser. Ice cream will be available for purchase. There will be raffle tickets for sale, and the ReStore will be open for shoppers.

After the busy Sunday, try Meditation on Mondays at 11 am in the fellowship hall. Please come for a time to center in
prayer.

On Sunday, August 16, United Lutheran will celebrate our years at Camp Lutherwood. Worship will be at 10:00 am at camp, followed by lunch. More information to come. (No service at United on August 16)

Vicar Joel's Farewell Potluck Is THIS Sunday!!!
The farewell potluck will be held on August 9 at 12:30 pm at United Lutheran in the fellowship hall. This will be a joint potluck between Central and United. Bring your best dish!

As we move the nursery and consolidate all of the children’s and youth spaces to the west side of the hallway downstairs, there are a few tasks still to do:
* Dismantle the outdated crib (needs allen wrench) and put it in the church dumpster.
* Haul the brown chair to St Vinnies to donate.
* The play kitchen is in great shape and is up for grabs for FREE. Otherwise, it too needs to go to St Vinnies.

August 16 - Save the Date
Worship at Camp Lutherwood - Be sure to sign up and let us know that you will be coming. Carpooling is available. On Sunday, August 16, United Lutheran will celebrate our years at Camp Lutherwood. Worship will be at 10:00am at camp, followed by lunch. (There will not be a service at the church.)
