We are planning our spring garden work party for tomorrow, Saturday, May 23rd. We will start at 9 and finish by 12.
Projects include:
weeding,
some light pruning,
and general clean up.
Bring your garden tools and get some dirt under your fingernails.

Thursday, June 11, 2026 at 7 PM. (Store open at 6:30 PM)
Free admission, but donations will go to CEIPA Middle School in Guatemala. Refreshments and Guatemalan handwoven products at the end of the concert.

JULY 18 and 19 - United Lutheran Church Celebration of Internship
Saturday, July 18, 11:00 am - an opportunity for former interns and their guests to gather with the congregation for conversation over coffee, tea, fruit, and pastries
1:00 pm - An option for former interns and guests to continue to mix with the congregation at Doris Ranch.
Sunday, July 19, 9:30 am worship - Pastor Dodd will preach with Pastor Eric Dull presiding. Immediately following worship, there will be a forum and potluck brunch. The former interns will each be invited to share what has happened in their life since their time at ULC.

Oregon Synodical Women’s Organization Gathering and Bible Study
“Putting the Pieces Together”
You are invited to a gathering of Oregon synod women on Saturday, May 30th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 507 W. Powell Blvd, Gresham. There will be a Zoom link provided for those who are unable to attend in person. We plan to gather for Bible Study with a theme of “God , pick up the pieces. Put me back together again. The Interfaith Hospitality Committee is in the process of organizing the Saturday, June 27 Pride Celebration, which will take place at the Lane Events Center. As mentioned in an earlier correspondence we will be hosting an area where everyone is invited to rest, visit, and get a snack and a cool bottle of water. Volunteers from different faith communities make this happen!

Day of Action and Solidarity for Faith Communities

Join us: May First Day of Action for Faith Communities
Our faith and spiritual practices ground us in a long lineage of people of faith who have taken action for our collective liberation. This May 1st, we will come together again in solidarity with PCUN, Oregon’s farmworker union, to honor immigrant workers at the time our immigrant neighbors are being targeted for a day of Action and Solidarity. https://www.togetherlab.org/mayday-pledge

Our CUE Youth Group will be going on a summer service trip to Lee, Virginia and partnering with the Appalachia Service Project to help provide safe and dry homes for the community. Our trip will be July 5th-11th, and we will be taking 6 teens and 2 adults. We are seeking the congregation's support for this trip via fundraising. Our group will be at each of our CUE churches in the month of May and will be selling handwritten cards from our participants, these cards will be written while on our trip, as both a thank you for your support and a way to share the experience. Every $10 donation will receive a card from a participant. Our group will be present before and after the service to accept your donations. Thank you for your generous support of this life-changing experience.

Apparently, the kids weren't familiar with Howdy Doody, but they did well with Warner Brothers cartoon characters. Mark showed off his former radio skills by impersonating the WB characters. We will also be assembling 200 Personal Care Kits for LWR following the adult forum. Our many hands will make quick work of it! With only five components, this kit comes together easily. We look forward to having these kits all wrapped up! Thank you.
