In Genesis 18:13, the question is "why did Sarah laugh?" The truth about humans is that we all are often super-surprised by the things the Lord does. They can be sudden or delayed, the answer to our unspoken wishes or the display of what we keep talking about. They can make us laugh, shout, cry, bow down, ramble on and on and on, or gasp in awe. It's not that we don't know He can do it, but ...... Sarah laughed.

Bible stories tell us about Abram (Abraham), Gideon, Peter and Andrew, Saul (Paul), countless people that God called to follow Him since the beginning of time. His calling is such a blessing to us! And in it, He calls us to bless others. How does that play out in your life?

Paul points to the Trinity in 2 Corinthians 13:14 NIV when he prays for his listeners (and us) -- "May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all."

Pentecost has long been seen as the birthday of the Christian church; the day that the Holy Spirit was seen as flames of fire and heard as a mighty wind. The people present in the Upper Room were changed in an instant and declared the works of God to anyone who would listen. Scripture tells us that around 3,000 people believed and were baptized that day!! and as these guests in Jerusalem returned to their homes in other countries, they carried the Living Word of God with them. And the world will never be the same again.

This study group is open our community on a come-as-you-can basis. Season Two of The Chosen video series begins on April 9. This 8-week segment will continue until the end of May on Thursday nights at 6:15pm at Elkhorn First United Methodist Church, 111 N Broad Street, Elkhorn.
Come as you can.

Through the captivating video of The Chosen and small group discussions, you will learn, or deepen your understanding, of the life and ministry of JESUS CHRIST.
