Have you had a chance to reflect on the Holy Father’s latest encyclical, Magnifica Humanitas?

As we navigate an era where Artificial Intelligence is becoming part of our daily lives—from our phones to our workplaces—Pope Leo reminds us that technology must always be a servant to humanity, never its master.

In Magnifica Humanitas ("The Magnificence of Humanity"), the Pope invites us to look beyond the "algorithms of efficiency" and rediscover the "algorithm of the heart." He offers three vital reminders for us:

The Unrepeatable Soul: While AI can mimic speech and logic, it lacks the "divine spark" of a soul created in the image of God.

Ethics of Encounter: We are called to prioritize real-world community over digital isolation. Let’s ensure our screens don't become walls between us and our neighbors.

Justice for All: Technology should close the gap between the rich and the poor, not widen it.

"The greatness of humanity is not measured by the tools we create, but by the love we share and the dignity we protect." — Magnifica Humanitas, no. 14

Let’s pray for the wisdom to use these new tools to build a world that is more just, more compassionate, and always centered on the dignity of the human person.
