This week's Grace & Peace centers on a simple but powerful rhythm of prayer that could reshape the way you move through your day. Pastor Eric reflects on how King David, Daniel, and Jesus himself observed set times of prayer throughout the day, and how this rhythm has shaped God's people for generations. It's a timely invitation as we begin our summer series on Emotionally Healthy Spirituality. How might your days look different if every hour was an opportunity to be aware of Christ’s presence?

Pastor Tom is trying very hard not to peek inside the MORE envelope… 👀

Tomorrow is Reveal Sunday, and we can’t wait to celebrate what God has done through our church family! Join us at 8:30 or 10am as we reveal the total commitments made toward MORE and give thanks for the room God is helping us make for others.

And since it’s Saturday, Pastor Tom is also proudly wearing his Elkhorn gear and praying for all the Elkhorn Area High School seniors and families celebrating graduation today. Congratulations, graduates! 🎓

Big weekend. Big joy. Big God.

See you Sunday!

✝️ This week's Grace & Peace is a reflection on pilgrimage — what Pastor Tom learned on his recent journey to the tiny Isle of Iona, Scotland, and the surprising lesson that you don't have to travel across an ocean to go on one.

A pilgrimage isn't really about the destination. It's an ordinary journey taken with an extraordinary expectation: that we will meet God along the way. Which means the most important pilgrimage you make this week might also be the shortest one — the journey through the doors of your church on Sunday morning.

Join us this Sunday for Reveal Sunday, as we celebrate together what God has done through our MORE campaign and the room we're making so more people can be known and loved by Him. At our 10:00 service, we'll also have the joy of confirming several of our students as they take their own next step of faith. And as summer arrives, prayerfully consider approaching the places you travel as a pilgrim — expecting to find God in the ordinary stops along the way.

May you find Christ this summer not only in the far-off places you go, but in the short, sacred journey to worship each Sunday.

This week’s Grace & Peace is a reflection on how God forms us for ministry, not just in big moments, but in the quiet, everyday ones—like washing dishes, setting up chairs, or being there for a friend. Pastor Eric looks back on summers spent at Camp Awana with a lifelong friend and how simple acts of service made a lasting impact on both of them, even more than they realized at the time.

Service is about more than doing impressive things — it's simply a way of participating in the life of Jesus together. As we serve, Christ forms our hearts and helps us create spaces where others can encounter His love.

🙌 Prayerfully consider using your gifts to serve on a St. John’s ministry team this summer. If you’d like to learn more about available opportunities, contact Pastor Eric or the St. John’s office.

✝️ grace & peace from Pastor Eric

This week's Grace & Peace centers on three important people in Scripture — Paul, Timothy, and Barnabas — and on how each of the types of relationships they represent is valuable to our faith journeys.

Pastor Eric reflects on how these aren't just historical figures, but living roles we are each called to inhabit and, personally, how this was recently illustrated in his life during a visit from four dear friends.

It's a reflection worth sitting with: Who in your life fills each role and who needs you to fill one for them?

Who has carried you — and who are you carrying right now?

Today is Mother's Day, and we're spending some time with that question.

Mother's Day is a unique opportunity to celebrate the way God chose to bring each one of us into the world — through the arms of a mother. But the carrying never stops there. It runs through every person God has placed in our path to make us who we are.

We also know this day isn't simple for everyone. Some of us have lost mothers, some long to be mothers, some wish things were different. Join us as we honor the day with space for gratitude, loss, and hope.

After services, stick around for an Ice Cream Social, a photo booth, and more.

Invite someone you love and worship with us. ❤️

✝️ grace & peace from Pastor Eric

Commitment Sunday for MORE left Pastor Eric with something lingering — a sense that what unfolded was more than a moment in a service. It felt like a sacred invitation.

At the heart of his reflection this week are four simple breath prayers that have been quietly doing something deeper than we may realize. MORE has never just been about what we do, but about who we are becoming – people whose lives that look, sound, and live more like Jesus.

Not equal gifts, but equal sacrifice. A unifying commitment to making room so others can experience MORE.

✨ This Sunday is Commitment Sunday.

Four weeks ago, we opened MORE with a video — and a question: what does it look like for me to make room?

If you haven't watched it, or if it's been a few weeks, this is the weekend. Six minutes. Then pick up your card. Hold it. Pray over it.

We'll come forward together on Sunday.
