Sunday is more than simply another day of the week—it is an opportunity to gather with God’s people, open His Word, lift our voices in worship, and be strengthened in our faith. David didn’t say he merely went to the house of the Lord; he said he was glad to go. May we never lose that joy. There are believers around the world who would give much for the freedom and opportunity we have to worship together. As we prepare for church today, let us come with thankful hearts, ready to hear from God, encourage one another, and give the Lord the worship He deserves.

🎉 Happy 86th Birthday, Bob! 🎂

Today we celebrate a very special man who holds an important place in the history of Fellowship Baptist Church of Montgomery. Our church began in the basement of Bob’s home, and we are thankful for his faithfulness, support, and the part he played in helping Fellowship get its start.

Bob, your church family loves and appreciates you. May God bless you with a wonderful birthday and many more! ❤️🙏

"Hitherto hath the LORD helped us." — 1 Samuel 7:12

For fifty-seven years, Fellowship Baptist Church of Montgomery has stood as a testimony to the faithfulness of God. From its founding under the leadership of Pastor Dean Gooch to this present day, every soul saved, every family strengthened, every missionary supported, and every sermon preached has been possible because "hitherto hath the LORD helped us."

The prophet Samuel set up a stone and called it Ebenezer as a reminder that God's hand had brought His people safely through every battle. In the same way, this anniversary is more than a celebration of years—it is a celebration of God's grace. Buildings may age, pastors may come and go, and generations may change, but Jesus Christ remains the same yesterday, today, and forever.

As an independent Baptist church, we rejoice that the same Book still guides us, the same Gospel still saves sinners, and the same Savior is still building His church. The Lord who has faithfully led Fellowship Baptist Church through fifty-seven years is the same Lord who will guide the church into the years ahead if we continue to love His Word, preach Christ boldly, and remain faithful to His calling.

Today, we pause to thank God for His blessings, honor those who have faithfully served, and renew our commitment to be a lighthouse for Montgomery and beyond until the Lord returns.
