Overview
A free in-person session to become more aware of your "inner polarizer" and to learn methods for disagreeing without contempt and ridicule

Note: This Free event is to be attended in person (Promo Code: "BRAVER").

Polarization is fueled by how we talk about those on the other side of an issue. Too often, we ridicule, dismiss, or stereotype our fellow citizens. When Braver Angels addresses “polarization,” we are not referring to healthy disagreements over issues or philosophy. We are addressing how we regard and talk about large groups of people -- people who happen to be on the other side of the political aisle.

This past Sunday, 5-24-25, Evergreen installed our new class of Deacons and Elders. Their service reflects God’s love in every act. Evergreen thanks you and are glad you part of our church family.

The earth care team on May 20 hosted a delicious vegetarian soup and salad lunch and led discussions on making choices in your home and/or yard that help the long-term health of the earth. An enjoyable learning event.

In the last month we had a very good seminar of Food Waste, led by Elise Erhart of Hamilton County Resource. This is part of Evergreen's mission to reduce waste so more my have part of God's abundance.

Your Home Your Yard, Your Power to Make a Difference

On Wednesday, May 20th, the Evergreen Earth Care team will lead a discussion about the awesome opportunity you have every day to act as a steward of the natural world. In our homes, on our decks or in our yards, we can care for the environment by making simple but impactful choices.

The team will host a simple soup and salad lunch beginning at 12:00 noon at the church, 9994 Zig Zag Rd. Lunch will be followed by a discussion about the ability each of us has to manage our homes and properties with deep respect for the natural world. Gift bags and a raffle will add to the fun.

Join us for a practical, down-to-earth workshop from Braver Angels where you’ll learn how to navigate tough conversations with more calm, clarity, and respect. We’ll explore how to really listen (so people actually feel heard), how to share your views without things heating up, and how to better understand where others are coming from—even when you disagree.
This isn’t about changing anyone’s mind—it’s about having better conversations.

The 2026 Evergreen Earth Care Festival, "Small Gardening for You and Your Child,' was held April 25th from noon to 4 pm at 9994 Zig Zag Road in Montgomery Ohio.
