We live in a world that constantly pressures us to compromise, conform, and slowly drift away from what we believe.
And sometimes, the greatest threat to our faith isn’t outright rebellion against God.
It’s the slow surrender of our convictions.
We compromise a little.
We pray a little less.
We become comfortable with things that once convicted us.
We allow the opinions of the world to carry more weight than the truth of God’s Word.
And before we realize it, we’ve moved further from Jesus than we ever intended.
But Scripture calls us to something different.
“Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love.”
- 1 Corinthians 16:13–14
Standing firm doesn’t mean we will never struggle.
It means we refuse to abandon the One who holds us steady.
It means choosing obedience when compromise would be easier.
Choosing truth when culture tells us to bend.
Choosing faithfulness when our feelings tell us to quit.
And choosing Jesus, again and again, even when following Him costs us something.
But remember this…
We don’t stand firm because we’re strong enough on our own.
We stand firm because our strength comes from Christ.
So when the pressure comes, when your faith is tested, and when the temptation to compromise feels overwhelming…
Don’t retreat.
Don’t surrender.
Don’t lose sight of the One who called you.
STAND FIRM.
“Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord.”
- 1 Corinthians 15:58
