50 Days of Bethany Missions- Day 36- Support for Families with Persons who have Developmental Disabilities
Bethany’s founding pastor’s family had a son with Down Syndrome and as a result, we have always had a special heart for the developmentally disabled. We have a vibrant community with their own Sunday Morning Class - All God’s People and we sponsor epic parties to celebrate the seasons. Bethany also hosts the Variations Choir.

50 Days of Bethany Missions- Day 34- Easter Baskets

One of our great Bethany Easter Traditions is assembling over 300 Easter Baskets to share with our ministry partners. Last year, 350 baskets went to the Baptist Children’s Home, our Benevolence clients, our Foster/Kinship families, and to the Rainbow Room at CPS which enables sherriff deputies a positive way to interact with and de-escalate child welfare situations. Baskets include filled Easter Eggs, chocolate, toys, and an uplifting message. Many thanks to all who contribute and to our awesome Bethany students who help assemble!

50 Days of Bethany Missions - Day 33 - Feed My People
From day old donuts in 1986 to the creation of The Foundation for the Homeless (1989), Feed My People started out as a mustard seed that now provides hot meals, showers, clothing, and care every Tuesday and Thursday morning in downtown Austin at First UMC. Board Treasurer, Debbie C. is a fierce advocate for this program and mobilizes the Bethany faithful to support FMP.

50 Days of Bethany Missions- Day 32- RRISD Clothes Closet

Bethany collects new socks and underwear from time to time for use in our local schools that maintain clothes closets. Accidents happen and teachers and counselors can respond quickly. Family budgets get stretched and school officials can discreetly supplement the clothes students wear.

From Pool Time to School Time! ☀️📚
