SPRC is happy to announce Rev. Jacob Letterman as a new associate pastor for NW Hills UMC to begin July 1.
Jacob will be serving at NW Hills as a Pastor of Community Engagement and Missional Service. His role will include working with Heather to provide both spiritual and relational support to the My Friend’s House Child Development Center, as well as to the many organizations that regularly use our campus. Jacob will also serve as the North District chaplain, focused on maintaining relationships with the Foundation Communities program and the UMC.
Jacob grew up in Fort Worth, Texas, before moving to Austin to attend the University of Texas at Austin, where he earned a degree in Public Health. While in college, he became deeply involved in the Wesley Foundation community, which played a major role in shaping both his faith and his call to ministry.
Jacob graduated from Perkins School of Theology in 2025 with a Master of Divinity degree. Over the past several years, he has served in youth, missions, young adult, and pastoral care ministries throughout Austin.
Jacob married his wife Anna in 2025, and much of their life together remains deeply connected to the friendships and community formed through ministry in Austin. Outside of church life, he enjoys spending time with friends, watching UT athletics, playing golf, and reading.
