There is something beautifully human about the end of Matthew’s Gospel. Disciples on a mountain, worship and doubt sitting side-by-side, and Jesus still trusting them with a mission of love and presence. 🌄✨

Even in their uncertainty, Christ sends them to go, welcome, teach, and baptize, promising they will never be alone.

On Trinity Sunday, we celebrate the mystery that God is Creator, Son, and Holy Spirit; love that lives in relationship and overflows into the world. 💙🔥🌿

That same love spills into our everyday lives through small acts of grace, shared meals, and faithful community, reminding us that “I am with you always” includes even our doubting days.

This Sunday Amy Gibbs will be preaching and we hope you can join us at 10:30!

For Pentecost we wear fiery colors to celebrate God’s spirit within us. We remember the visible expression of flames that descended on the apostles at Pentecost and we nourish the flames in our own hearts. Join us this Sunday as we get fired up!

Pentecost shows up like a rush of wind and reminds us the Spirit is alive in how we speak about Jesus and care for each other. 🌬️🔥Every gift matters, even the quiet ones, and somehow all that beautiful chaos comes together like a shared table that just works. 🕊️🍞 We belong to each other, still learning, still growing, carried by the same breath of Spirit. 💛✨

At Berkeley UMC we have a porch garden in our outdoor foyer that brings a touch of natural beauty and joy to everyone who visits.

This morning we had several broken fronds and flowers from the weather in the last few days.

With a little love and effort those broken flowers are now bringing their beauty inside.

This is a special Sunday for us as we culminate our Love Boldly Sermon Series. The offering donation this week will go to assisting the world wide denomination of the United Methodist Church to grow by funding an endowment to train 500 pastors each year allowing them to help lead their congregations in God's love. We hope you can join us!

Serving joyfully starts with love. Steady, shared, and lived out in everyday acts of care. 💛 Each of us has something to offer, and even the smallest gifts can reflect grace in powerful ways. ✨
