More than a church start-up, we see a movement of people that are both scattered and gathered. We want to gather in one place with one voice for worship and teaching that is:
Intimate…so we don’t get lost in a crowd,
Participatory…because belief invites a response,
Inter-generational…because all ages, all life stages bring something to the table. The vision is also to gather locally within neighborhoods of medium-size groups, or “Tribes”, that enable us to be current and invested in each other’s lives. The idea is for singles, couples, families, empty nesters, and youths gathering to share wisdom, questions, prayer, meals, and experiences. But these groups also serve as a local resource to rally compassion—like a flashmob call-to-dance—because it takes a village to grow a faith. Re-imagine Mission IN FAITH, LOVE, LIGHT & TRUTH
Every great lecture has an application. Every lesson needs a laboratory to experiment. And every experiment is better with a partner…maybe even a few as we experiment with inward, outward, and upward expressions of faith. It’s been said that the Church doesn’t have a mission from God. Rather, the Mission of God has a Church. The name “Mission” speaks of the City. It also speaks Texas. The earliest definition of Christian mission is rooted in The Great Commission. From the sanctuary to the living room and everything in between, it’s about welcoming and co-mission-ing.
