Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of four anonymous Beth El donors, this year’s Break the Fast has been underwritten so that our members can gather together at a truly community-friendly price: just $10 for adults and $8 for children ages 13 and under!

Following the conclusion of Yom Kippur, join your Beth El family as we come together to break the fast with a full traditional spread — including bagels, lox, and all the fixings.

Our generous donors wanted to make sure that cost would not stand in the way of our community sharing this special moment together. We are deeply grateful for their generosity and for the spirit behind their gift: bringing as many members of our Beth El family together around the table as possible.

After a meaningful day of prayer and reflection, what a wonderful way to begin the New Year together, in community, with good food and good friends.

Did you know that our pianist extraordinaire, Eric Schnobrick frequently plays with the National Symphony Orchestra? Rabbi Saphire and Cantor Kaufman had the pleasure of seeing Eric perform at Wolf Trap this weekend.

This months Beth El bulletin features a tribute to Eric, showing our gratitude for all the musical beauty he has brought to Beth El. Now in his 14th year at Beth El, we are grateful for his continued partnership, friendship, and musical excellence.
