Anti-voting rights legislators in Congress are trying to slip the SAVE Act into other pieces of legislation. We can't let it happen.

Call and tell your member of Congress: reject ANY attempt to attach the SAVE Act to moving legislation.

Thirteen years ago today, the Supreme Court ruling in Shelby County v. Holder gutted the heart of the Voting Rights Act by eliminating the federal government’s power to review changes in election laws in states with a history of discrimination. This ruling opened the floodgates to a wave of harmful state laws that make it harder for people to vote.

The recent ruling Louisiana v. Callais further eviscerated the VRA by dismantling one of the last remaining safeguards against racially discriminatory maps and voting laws.

Justice Ginsburg's dissent was a warning. Now we're drenched.

Our democracy can only fulfill its promise when each of us can make our voices heard, equally. NCJW will continue to fight for a democracy that works for each and every one of us.

Three years ago today, the Supreme Court struck a blow to racial equity in higher education, overturning the constitutionality of affirmative action in Students for Fair Housing v. Harvard.

NCJW is proud to still be in the fight for true racial equality and equity three years later. And we're not stopping anytime soon.

It's not just like the 1976 heatwave, says a Green Party spokesperson. 🔥🥵 Because this time, they say, it's not a one-off event. They say we are at risk of getting comfortable with extreme weather being a regular occurrence in our daily lives.

"This week’s record temperatures and subsequent school closures are a timely wake up call. The people of Wales are experiencing, in their communities, the direct effects of the ongoing climate crisis.

"Extreme heat is a social justice issue. We must not leave behind vulnerable and low-income people who will feel the impacts of climate change more acutely. This includes children, whose lives are already being impacted and fundamentally reshaped.

"Governments across the UK have dragged their heels for too long; the science is clear. It’s time to end our fossil fuel addiction once and for all. We need meaningful action to address the climate crisis and respond to the immediacy of this untenable situation."

On staying safe, party leader Anthony Slaughter said: "Please take all necessary precautions, outside and inside, and to heed heat and water safety advice.”

This week, we're celebrating Zendaya as an actress, producer, fashion icon, and a powerful voice for women and girls.

Both in her boundary-pushing work on screen and advocacy behind the scenes, Zendaya has used her platform to champion representation, mental health, and the power of young women to own their stories. Through her work and her voice, Zendaya reminds us that feminism is rooted in fairness, inclusion, and the belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive.

As we welcome Shabbat, may we be inspired by Zendaya's boldness, her commitment to lifting others up, and her belief in the power of women.

Shabbat Shalom!
