Many brothers and sisters who were worshipping back in Agape Baptist Church during 2012 to 2018 would have thought that I had left back then for celebratory reasons. Nothing could be further from the truth, I had actually left Agape with a lot of anger, bitterness and resentment in my heart. Moving off to another church, due to marriage, was a convenient excuse and cover up to mask all the underlying currents within me.
I am perhaps a 'perfect' example of how, when one allows sin even a small foothold in the heart, it gradually festers and eventually poisons every other aspect of life. Not to cause anyone to stumble - although there wasn’t any infidelity or extramarital affair, my marriage ended in divorce in Nov 2025, owing to other failures to love and cherish my ex-wife as what a Christian husband ought to have done.
By GOD’s grace and mercy, HE met me at my lowest point, healed all aspects of my broken life, redeemed me with a mighty hand and restored me to sonship in HIM. With the divorce, I was in desperate need of a church community for fellowship and to journey with. From then on, I struggled immensely with whether to face the issues of the past and return to Agape, or to continue wandering in the wilderness for an extended period of time. By GOD’s leading, and just like the prodigal son in Luke Chapter 15, I returned.
I am very blessed that I have not yet encountered the “elder brother” in Luke Chapter 15 but have met with and been ministered to by so many blessed brothers and sisters in Christ back in Agape. Special mention goes out to Pastor Teh Hsin for being a spiritual mentor and for journeying with me during those dark days.
In the current state of total surrender to GOD, I trust in HIS provision for my daily spiritual, emotional and physical needs (in order of importance). Knowing that the Creator of the entire universe, did not spare HIS SON on the Cross, and that He loves me and HIS creation immensely, I am hereby dedicating the rest of my life, to be HIS vessel, and to be poured out as a offering for HIM and HIS kingdom until the end of days that HE has ordained for me.
Now, forever and always, Amen and Amen.
