We thank the Lord for His marvellous provision to us at this year’s VBS with the theme “Jesus the Light”.

Christ has been our light from the planning, to the preparation and ex*****on of VBS. It has not been the helpers but Christ’s work through us. Through many answered prayers, from prayers for willing hands, to prayers for open hearts, we have truly experienced the Lord’s goodness.

All glory and praise to Jesus, our light and our salvation💡

John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

Dear Brethren,

Today, 14 May 2026, marks 40 days since Easter Sunday, and is the anniversary of the day that Christ ascended up to heaven.

Christ’s ascension is very significant for at least four reasons:

1. It signifies the completion of His Father’s will and work for Him on earth.
“…when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high.” (Hebrews 1:3)

2. It marked the beginning of His priestly intercession for us at the Father’s right hand.
“Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.” (Romans 8:34)

3. It was the occasion for His giving of spiritual gifts to equip us for service.
“When He ascended up on high, He led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.” (Ephesians 4:8)

4. It foreshadows His glorious return to earth.
“…this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen Him go into heaven.” (Acts 1:11)

May the Lord bless you as you reflect on these things.

We praise the Lord for a blessed time at the 2026 Session Retreat on 9 May, where the 2026-2029 Session came together to discuss plans on strengthening and intentionally improving the operations of the Session. We also had a wonderful time of fellowship amongst the families of Session members at lunchtime.

May the Lord help His servants in leading Life BPC for the term ahead.

We thank God for His goodness as 5 parents brought their children to be baptised at today's Easter service.

Each child is a precious gift from the Lord. May He grant the parents grace to raise them in the fear and nurture of Him, that they may grow to know and love the Lord.

To God be the glory !

May you always stand amazed at the love that led your Saviour to be condemned in your place and to seal your pardon with His blood!

“Surely He hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:4,5)

~

“Man of Sorrows” what a name
for the Son of God, who came
ruined sinners to reclaim:
Hallelujah, what a Saviour!

Bearing shame and scoffing rude,
in my place condemned He stood,
sealed my pardon with His blood:
Hallelujah, what a Saviour!

Guilty, vile and helpless, we;
spotless Lamb of God was He,
full atonement – can it be?
Hallelujah, what a Saviour!

Lifted up was He to die;
"It is finished" was His cry;
now in heav’n exalted high:
Hallelujah, what a Saviour!

When He comes, our glorious King,
all His ransomed home to bring,
then anew this song we'll sing:
Hallelujah, what a Saviour!
