Gone are the days when community was built in and not sought out. Community and hopitality was the default. The Western culture has come to the east and individuation, and privacy is slowly creeping in and robbing us of values of belonging, engagement, hospitality, and dependency.

Psalm 93: 5 "the sea belongs to Him for He made it, HIs hands formed the dry land too"
We can expect the storms of life to come. They are often violent, this is the natural way of things. The storms often come from the seas, the storms wreak havoc- they ruin lives, they destroy homes, they displace people. Our GOd allows this "violence"- a human interpretation, I wonder what GOds interpretation is for these natural calamities, the way of nature? We pray for our country, the whole world and its leaders. 🇵🇭🙏🏼🕊️🌏

Lord of Peace and Justice,
in this time of turmoil and division in our nation,
we turn to You with hope and trust.
When anger, hatred, and deception threaten to divide us,
teach us to seek truth with humility and to speak with charity.
Grant wisdom, honesty, and compassion to our leaders,
that they may serve not for power or personal gain,
but for the good of the Filipino people.

Strengthen us also as citizens,
that we may resist hatred, fanaticism, and indifference,
and instead become instruments of understanding and unity.
Heal wounded hearts, calm fearful minds,
and protect our country from violence, corruption, and despair.
May true peace reign in the Philippines,
a peace rooted not in fear or silence,
but in justice, mercy, and love for one another.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
