Many times hospitality includes the concept of generosity, in Latin “genus”, also meaning birth. Generosity implies abundance, a springing forth, new life, new beginnings, Pilgrims who have traveled hundred of miles under difficult conditions, who may have fallen prey to disease, robbers illness and cold, and who receive the generosity of food and spirit where literally restored to life.
