In this blessed season of honouring and seeking the loving intercession of Mother Mary, Rev. Fr. Shantha Patrick, together with the Zone 1 parishioners of Hiniduma Calvary Shrine, gathered in faith and unity to conduct a solemn novena followed by the Holy Mass on 04th May 2026. This spiritually enriching celebration was held at the home of a devoted zone member, creating an atmosphere of warmth, prayer, and community.

The joyous spirit of the Sinhala and Tamil New Year came alive at Calvary Shrine, Hiniduma, as parishioners joined hands with the villagers in a vibrant celebration of unity and tradition. Under the gracious guidance of Rev. Fr. Shantha Patrick, the parish priest, the gathering reflected the true essence of Awurudu which is a season of renewal, togetherness and cultural pride. The day was filled with laughter and excitement as all enthusiastically took part in traditional games, while the aroma of authentic festive delicacies added warmth to the occasion. It was a meaningful celebration that beautifully blended faith, community, and heritage, leaving hearts full of joy and cherished memories.

On the sacred night of Holy Saturday, the parishioners of Hiniduma Calvary Shrine gathered in faith and reverence to celebrate the glorious Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. As darkness gave way to light, the service beautifully symbolized the triumph of life over death and hope over despair. United in prayer, hymns and devotion, the faithful rejoiced in the risen Christ, embracing the spirit of renewal, grace and everlasting joy that Easter brings.
