A Christian young adult ministry. (18-29) Helping to connect YAs in a deeper fellowship with Jesus and the local church. We want to focus on Jesus.

MISSION:

The Salt Mine is a Christian Young Adult ministry located at the former Edith Avenue Baptist church in Saint John NB. We exist to help Young Adults connect in deeper fellowship with Jesus, each other. We are a neutral space that promotes unity within the different church communities and denominations in our region. Our hope is that as young adults (18-29) participate, they will be inspir

ed and provoked to grow in their walk with Jesus build meaningful friendships, and engage in the mission of seeing a generation and a region come to know the love and saving power of God through Jesus. VISION:

The future vision would be to have a fully functional cafe lounge with regular operating hours. We would love to renovate our building and sanctuary to provide a space that young adults would love to come and spend their time. This would look like having a games and recreational area equipped with a coffee bar and some food options. A space where our young people would be able to come and meet others. We would also like to have a more quiet space with couches and tables for those who want to come read and relax. Once operational we would like to have a staff of missionaries who would be able to share the gospel, pray and encourage those who frequent this space. The sanctuary would be used to host worship nights, prayer meetings, bible studies, a Saturday night mini service and educational classes. WHAT WE BELIEVE:

The Salt mine exists to disciple young adults into devoted followers of Jesus. Our aim is to emphasize the Jesus found in the scriptures, and the expressions of following Him that all denominations agree on (Apostles Creed). and what unites us all in Him. We are not a church and believe our job is to fan into flame, and add fuel to the fire of our young adult's passion for Jesus. With the ultimate goal of furthering their faith so that it's developed and expressed in the context of their local church.

Meals will be provided but we ask that you bring your own gear. Plan to head up Sunday after church to enjoy the afternoon together!

Join young adults from across the region are gathering to lift high the name of Jesus and seek Him for revival and awakening in our region.

This year marks our 6th annual YA Retreat and trust us when we say you do not wanna miss it! Join us as we gather with young adults from across the maritimes to lift high the name of Jesus and build lasting Christ centered community!

We have exciting news!! DM us for details if interested 🤗🤓We want to invite you to join in on an 8-week long course. Every Wednesday starting Feb 18th - April 15th.

Our idea of God is the most important thing about us. You will increase your vision of God through systematic theology, biblical orthodoxy and apologetics.

In this course, we will discuss topics like the attributes of God, the attributes of Jesus, the Trinity, heresies, and the coexistence of science & faith. We’ll dig deeper into whether Jesus is the only way to God, the creeds of the early Church, the biblical presentation of salvation, holiness, and the Kingdom of God.
