KIDZ FUN NIGHT: LIGHT CITY
Bringing the Bible to Life!

Get ready for an unforgettable night of faith, fun, and adventure!! Kids will journey back in time with Joshua and his army, experience the incredible story of the Walls of Jericho, and then enter Light City—a world filled with exciting games, fun activities, creative crafts, delicious cupcakes and cookies, sweet treats, music, engaging Bible storytelling, and so much more!

Inspired by Matthew 5:14 — “You are the light of the world,” this special night is designed to help kids discover God’s Word in an exciting and memorable way, while learning how they can shine the light of Jesus wherever they go. ✨

On Week 3, kids heard about how God prepared Samuel by calling him one night. Cooking up something delicious means following a recipe carefully — if you miss a step, the whole thing can fall apart! This week, we saw how God prepared Samuel, and learn that just like following a recipe, we need to listen closely when God speaks. When we trust God's instructions, we can grow stronger in faith and wisdom by choosing to STEP THREE, LISTEN TO GOD.

On our Week 2, kids heard about how God prepared Hannah for a baby when she prayed. Sometimes it feels like life is a busy kitchen, with plates spinning everywhere and no idea which one to grab first. Last Sunday, kids heard about how God prepared Hannah for a baby when she prayed, showing that even when life feels overwhelming, talking to God helps us find peace and direction. No matter what’s happening, we can remember to STEP TWO, TALK TO GOD!

On our Week 1, kids heard about how God prepared Elijah and the widow at Zarephath during the famine. Could you bake a whole loaf of bread with one small scoop of flour and a little splash of oil? It might not seem like enough, but God’s recipes never fail. The kids heard about how God prepared Elijah and the widow at Zarephath during the famine. As they baked with what they had, God provided and reminded them to STEP ONE, TRUST GOD!

Kids love to be in the kitchen. They may even love helping prepare something delicious! Having a plan or a recipe usually helps, too. Just like having a plan in the kitchen helps the meal we hope to enjoy, the stories of the Old Testament prophets are like a cookbook that helped people prepare for the Savior that God would send one day. Even though there’s no exact recipe, kids will find that they can prepare themselves for a loving relationship with God when they 1) trust God, 2) talk to God, 3) listen to God, and 4) leave the results to God. 🍴
