We had a very meaningful afternoon in King's Square Park for the annual Overdose Awareness event. Bringing agencies and people together to raise awareness and offer education about this issue that affects so many. Well done Saint John!

1.4m x 3.5m Board Room table. This table is in very good condition and is very sturdy. Table is offered by cash donation. Donations will be used to help run our Hope Cafe which runs Monday Wednesday and Friday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.. Please contact Captain John at 506-634-7166 if you are interested.

As a family here at Saint John Hope Community Church, we were shocked and saddened to hear of the sudden passing of Nick Shepard. In his time working here at the Corps, he was both a friend to the Salvation Army and an advocate and ally of the stressed, the distressed and anyone who knocked on our door and asked, “where’s Nick?” His office was often empty as he walked Waterloo Street with his teacup in hand, talking, smiling and mostly listening. Nick was quick to offer a helping hand and more times than not; this was on top of an already full schedule.

Our sense of loss pales in comparison to that of his family, friends and those who worked with him day in and day out. His was a strong voice for the disadvantaged in Saint John and it would be our hope that his words continue to echo in the hearts of those who are left behind to pick up the mantle. We pray the blessing of the God of all Comfort on all those who are mourning his loss, and a prayer that the work he began will continue – to the betterment of the city.
