Church This Sunday September 6th
Greetings my dear brothers and sisters
Life in our modern hectic world is often described as a rat race. We need to compete if we are to succeed. Prove ourselves to be the best person for the job. So from a very young age we constantly seek the approval of others, or at least avoid being the target of teasing by bullies.
How should we, as children of God, deal with these issues and struggles?
Join us at 10.30 for worship, fellowship and stimulating discussion of these foundational issues.

Greetings dear brothers and sisters ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ˜
Have you ever asked "Why me, Lord?". A common response to when something significant falls through. A major disappointment or hassle.

Why does God allow us to go through such suffering or trials? Has He stopped loving or caring for us? Is He punishing us for our failures or wrongdoing? It's easy to feel abandoned.
This week we will consider the story of Job, which will address a lot of these questions.

Being the last Sunday of the month we will be having lunch together after the service, (please feel welcome to bring 00a plate of food or a drink if you like/ can.) Lunch will be followed by social fun games for a couple of hours or so.

Please join us at 10.30 for worship, learning and great fellowship.

Greetings dear brothers and sisters
Well, the exile to Babylon is over . 70 years as God promised through Jeremiah. The Persians destroy Babylon and their kings are moved by God to allow the Jewish exiles to return to Jerusalem. God raises up two men to lead the nation back - Ezra and Nehemiah - to rebuild the tem[ple and the walls of Jerusalem.
There are SO MANY lessons to learn from them.
Join us at 10.30 this Sunday for worship, fellowship, communion and a real blessing to our hearts from the Word of God.
See you then

Church This Sunday August 2nd
Dear brothers and sisters
Esther is another Old Testament book that, like Ruth, does not mention God once! And yet His hand is obviously, yet subtly, at work through a series of "as it happened"s. Through a series of circumstances, and one woman's courage, He delivers Jews throughout the vast Persian empire from an evil genocidal plot.
This story is so adventurous and full of human weakness and ironic twists that they should make a movie about it!! Oops, they have!
Come join us at 10.30 for worship, fellowship, God's Word and communion.

Church This Sunday July 26th
Dear brothers and sisters ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ˜
They are probably the best known Bible stories from the Old Testament - Daniel in the lions' den, and the 3 men thrown into the fiery furnace. God's miraculous deliverance for those who remain faithful to Him.

Daniel was a man of great insight, who could interpret dreams and visions. There was a lot of it going on there in Babylon. Does God still speak through dreams today? ๐Ÿค”

Join us at 10.30 as we join in worship, consider the life and ministry of Daniel.and then fellowship over LUNCH TOGETHER this Sunday. Bring a friend!

Church This Sunday July 19th
Dear brothers and sisters ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ˜
Five years after the first wave of Jews were exiled to Babylon God raises up a man from among them to be His messenger, His Watchman - Ezekiel
"Warn them as if your life depends on it, but they won't listen!"
Like Jeremiah, he was ridiculed and rejected and his message of God's
Judgement was then followed by a message of hope and future restoration.
Not just a return to Jerusalem within the next 70 years, but visions of the end of the age. A new covenant, resurrection to a new Spirit-filled life and a new earth. His language and visions resonate with Revelations in the New Testament.

Join us at 10.30 for worship, fellowship and communion.
Much love in Him

Greetings dear brothers and sisters ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿค—
Did you know that the book of Isaiah is alluded to in the New Testament on over 400 occasions!? Directly quoted 66 times!
They both prophesied to the people of Jerusalem but 100 years apart (Isaiah before Jeremiah). Yet the message was the same - God's justified judgement (exile to Babylon) for their persistent disobedience and yet the hope of His future restoration.
The big difference is that Jeremiah addressed the return from Babylon in 70 years time, and Isaiah wrote of God's plan for restoration at the end of human history!!
Oh the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God, revealed to us through His prophets and written Word. We can have HOPE in the midst of chaos and strife.
Please join us this Sunday at 10.30 for worship and fellowship.
There will be an optional time of group prayer from 12.00 - 12.30 after the service.
Much love

Church This Sunday June 28th
Greetings dear brothers and sisters
It's the last Sunday of the month, so we will be enjoying family lunch together after the service, so please bring a plate if you can. This week we will be walking through 1 and 2 Kings - it starts with Solomon building the temple and 360 years later, the Babylonians destroying it.The kingdom of Israel is divided. The ten northern tribes are conquered and scattered by the Assyrians, and 125 years later the two Southern tribes are taken into exile by the Babylonians. Has God's promise to David failed?

We will consider highlights (and lowlights?) of the ministries of Elijah and Elisha. So much to look forward to. Join us at 10.30 for worship, Praise God, Please God, and His Word, fellowship over lunch.
Love in Him

Church This Sunday June 14
Greetings dear brothers and sisters ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ˜

This Sunday Doctor Gary (Kae's dad) will be sharing a word from the Lord.

In Matthew 6:24-34 we are told not to worry. The world too tells us not to freak out but the way it goes about it is suspect. The world tells us to trust our superannuation and ourselves but in Jesusโ€™ kingdom it is the opposite. In this upside down world, control means surrender, giving is gain, and life is found by losing it.

Worrying does not stop death. It stops life. Worrying does not add hours to our lives. This coming Sunday, as we go through the passage in Matthew, we will try to learn how it is to live in this upside down world of what Christians come to call - the Kingdom of God

Please join us at 10.30 for worship and encouraging fellowship.
