Kindness and goodness are closely intertwined, both reflecting a deliberate, outward-looking compassion—a willingness to notice need and actively move toward it.

This Sunday in our series, Man or Woman in the Mirror, we’ll look at one of Jesus’ most well-known parables and discover what true kindness looks like in practice.
Along the way, we’ll also lift our eyes to the greater reality it reflects: the perfect kindness and goodness of God toward us.

Most of us are quick to admit that we’re impatient, but slow to admit that impatience is sin. We joke about it rather than repent of it, minimizing both its seriousness and its consequences.

If patience is a fruit of the Spirit, then impatience is no trivial matter.

A biblical definition of impatience, together with the examples Scripture provides, should move us to cultivate this grace more diligently.
