Engaging in sexual acts with children is a crime and should not be viewed as a cultural or religious issue.

It is imperative to acknowledge that older men who attempt to impregnate minors must face strict legal repercussions. Statutory r**e is a grave crime that transcends cultural issues and demands immediate and rigorous action. We must prioritise protecting our children and ensure that offenders are held fully accountable for their actions.

I wholeheartedly support the dialogue initiated by the Deputy Minister of Women, Youth, and Persons with Disabilities, Hon. Steve Mmapaseka Letsike.

Prof. Mbulelo Dyasi (Chaplain) serves as the National Director of SANERELA+, the National Convenor of the Men's Sector, and the National Chairperson of the Men's Forum SA. He is the author of "Dignity in the Darkness" and serves as Deputy Chairperson of Medical and Community Chaplaincy.

I am truly honored to represent the INERELA+ family at the Dutch Parliament hearing in September 2025 regarding the withdrawal of PEPFAR from African countries. My heartfelt thanks to Zimbabwe for proposing my name for this important discussion. Together, we must ensure that the voices of those affected are heard and that we advocate for the support and care communities desperately need.

National Director
