On Saturday, 23 May 2026.New Estate Congregations Sunday school children attended a lesson in preparation for Pentecost.

The basis of this lesson is to
• Help children understand that the Holy Spirit lives in us.
• He helps us think, choose what is right, and do good.

ACTIVE AND ALIVE IN THE SPIRIT

On Friday, 22 May 2026, the young people of New Estate congregation, gathered for a special Pentecost Catch-Up Discussion themed, “Active and Alive in the Spirit."

The evening focused on the significance of Pentecost and the role of the Holy Spirit in our daily lives — guiding, strengthening, and transforming believers as we journey in faith.

We also reflected on the importance of trusting in God’s plan, living boldly in faith, and looking ahead with joyful anticipation to Pentecost 2026.

Pentecost 2026: Chief Apostle arrives in Cape Town! Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider has arrived safely in Cape Town, South Africa, for the Pentecost festivities!

The District Apostles and District Apostle Helpers have also started arriving, while others are still on their way.

In the build-up to the festive day of Pentecost, the Chief Apostle Helper, District Apostles, and District Apostle Helpers will conduct midweek divine services across the Greater Cape Town Metro area. The Chief Apostle and his entourage will also engage in the International District Apostle Meeting (DAM) over the following two days (21-22 May). In addition, they will attend a concert in Silvertown on Saturday, 23 May, which will be broadcast globally.

The Chief Apostle will conduct the Pentecost divine service on Sunday, 24 May, from Tafelsig Church in Cape Town, South Africa. The divine service will be broadcast via NACTV on the free-to-air set-top box, YouTube and Cape TV and will commence at 10 a.m.

On Saturday, 16 May 2026, the Sunday School Coordinators and Young People Leaders gathered at New Estate congregation for a live online training session.

It was the Second session for 2026, focusing on 'Developing the Leaders around you'. Blessed and empowering moments were experienced.

On Thursday, 14 May 2026, the Ascension Day divine service was conducted by Apostle Robert Worship, accompanied by Rector Michael Bezuidenhoudt.

The bible text, as basis for the festive divine service, was out of John16:28 (NKJV):
"I came forth from the Father and have come into the world. Again, I leave the world and go to the Father."

During the service, Deacon Courtney Klein was called to do the bible reading, recorded in Mark16:14–19 (NKJV).

Message
It is through Christ that we attain eternal fellowship with God.

Summary
■ We are children of God, who have been sent into the world to serve Christ and bear witness to Him.
■ We follow His example and resolutely renounce evil.
■ With His help, we will remain masters of our destiny and reach our goal.

After service, the choir closed the divine service with 'Lift up your heads'.

The Apostle took the time to greet the members, as well as taking a group photo with all the seniors of the congregation. The morning was concluded with a fellowship.

REMAINING FOCUSED

On Sunday, the 10 May 2026, the divine service was conducted by the Rector, Priest Michael Bezuidenhoudt and Priest Franklin Evans was called up to serve along.

The bible text used as basis for the divine service was Philippians 3 verses 13-14 (NKJV):
Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

Message: Let us remain focused on the goal of faith.

After the divine service, then greeted the congregation, and on behalf of all ministers, the mothers were wished for Mothers Day and gifted with a special treat.
